Placed a on line order at 5:15pm, paid on line was advised to pick up the two pizzas at 5:50 Arrived at 5:55 and was told the pizzas were just going into the oven. Had I not already paid for the pizzas I would have walked. While waiting. other customers came in for their orders and were told they were not ready. There were 4 tables of customers 3 had food one still waiting for theirs when I left. Pizza was oily with a crust beyond thin. Can't recommend this place.

The beef is classic, but the Friday fish fry is a hit. We try to have a date nite every week but, having such good food calling us has caused more dates. This week it was the pizza.

Food is “ok”. Not my favorite bar food location in town. They moved into the old ruby tuesdays and changed a few things. No real reason to go back.

Been going here several years and thought it was the best. After today's experience I would say it gives Chicago Beef a bad name. I knew things had changed when they stopped having burgers which my wife wanted. I ordered a large Italian beef original style which used to be the bun had au jus on the inside. This came with no au jus on the bun or in the meat. It was so dry it was like chewing on straw. It was barely warm so I think the meat sat outside the pot and dried out and got cold before serving. Furthermore it had little if any garlic or other spice which make it Italian Beef. It was just blah and I had carry out so I took it back and left it on the counter instead of wasting calories eating it. Furthermore I poured catsup from the table on the fries and it ran out like water without squeezing the container. On top of it the manager or owner was running around helping customers without wearing a mask. Needless to say I will get my Italian Beef sandwich elsewhere from now on.

I'm from Chicago and when I got a beef sandwich and a combo it was like walking inside one of Chicago hotdogs restaurants. Food was great and tasty. Prices are reasonable and the owner and employees are very nice and friendly. We like about 40 minutes away and will make the drive to return back. If you are looking for some Chicago food this is the right place to go because you will not be disappointed.

Found the restaurant in 2018 and have occasionally during 2018 and 2019 enjoyed their beef sandwiches and wonderful Chicago Dogs. My visit last week showed a major change has taken place in personnel and physical appearance of the restaurant. I've spent many years in the restaurant business and owned my own for several years (and having a twelve year operations career in top management with McDonald's Corporation. The biggest fault I claim is 'lack of management', especially the owners. The Pandemic may have prevented the owner from improving and cleaning the floor, walls, ceiling, booths and tables and maybe from hiring more effective crew members. It appeared to be a restaurant "going down hill". I believe there are three reasons a person decides on a restaurant: Ambiance, Service and Food - often one will be enough to counteract any negatives of the other two. In this case/visit my Chicago Dogs were excellent, comfortable interior decor and wait staff poor.

Kept reading rave reviews of the Pizza here so decided to give it a try. Not being from Chicago maybe I don't know what Chicago Pizza should be like, but this was inedible. The crust was so thin and hard, the sauce was overpowered with Oregano, I felt like I was eating a saltine cracker with sauce on it. Ended up tossing it.

Went to restaurant for lunch and requested catering service for 30 people. They said "no problem" but order two days ahead. So we called two days ahead and they kept delaying taking our order. We called and left a message BEFORE they opened and they never returned our call. When we called back, they delayed talking to us for three hours, then stating they were busy to talk to us. Finally they got back to us saying they were to busy to cater our party entirely. They strung us along for about a week, then said they could not service us a day before our party. Terrible service. I would never use this place for catering as they are terribly unreliable.

I TRIED to enlist the services for catering a party with Chicago Beef Guy. I first went in and talked to two different ladies and they said I only needed two days ahead to order and discussed how much I would need etc. BUT when I called to order they first gave me the run around, saying they would have to call me back, didn’t know how many other parties they had, couldn’t let me know if they could even do it. After 3 phone calls , they finally said “no” they had too many other orders. What kind of catering is that? Why is it on their website with catering packages if they aren’t even available??? They also say on the website that you only need 2 day lead time for ordering. I felt they were rude and not at all accommodating and did not call back or follow through with anything they did. I will NEVER recommend them to ANYONE,

Very good beef sandwiches. We found the beef to be even better than Portillo in Brandon. Born and raised in Chicago I have had my share of beef sandwiches. The beef guy has been consistently good, beef is tender and lean and juice has just the right amount of seasoning. The bread is perfect. This is the best beef I have found outside of Illinois. 0nly negative thing I can say is just one time I walked in and walked out because they were cleaning the floors. Wait until after business hours to do your cleaning, I don’t want to smell cleaning solution while I’m eating. Otherwise you just can’t get a better beef sandwich anywhere in Swfl!

This is the best Chicago style food for ever. Beefs are great. Chicago dog is perfect. Pizza is the best Chicago style pizza anywhere in SW Florida. This is a must stop.

If you are from a Chicago, you will know that Portillo's is a gold standard for "beef" sandwiches. Yes, we'll have our local favorites, but we will agree that Portillo's is consistently darn good. I have been craving a good Italian Beef Sandwich and was even considering a road trip to Portillo's in Brandon. I read an Internet article about some restaurants in Cape Coral and discovered Chicago Beef Guy. We had lunch there and I have to say it is the real deal. From the rolls, the beef, the gravy, the sausage, the sweet peppers, to the giardiniera, my lunch was heavenly. As we were driving back to Fort Myers, my wife asked me if I could tell any difference from Portillo's. My answer was no. Chicago Beef Guy is clean and pleasant to dine in. You must visit often!

Live in Bonita but from north of Chicago so a friend and I decided to try the pizza here. Oh my goodness so worth the drive. We ordered the 16 inch Beef Guy special, with sausage, mushrooms, onions, and green pepper. Came out steaming with the runny gooey cheese wen you took a piece. It was only $5 more than the 12 inch so we both had some to take home. It was delicious. They only serve it after 5 during the weekend all day Saturday. We also got a basket of their fresh cut fries. By far the best I have ever had. The other food I saw coming out of the kitchen looked just as good. Will be going back for sure.

Stopped by n tried The Beef Guy in Cape Coral. Living in Berwyn Illinois for over 30 years n working at Bunyons on Odgen Ave n eating at Novi on Oak Park Ave, it’s been a long time since I had a great beef sandwich! This place did not disappoint in the least. It brought back some good memories of great tasting food. The owner was pleasant. We talked briefly about the old stomping ground! Could not remember the swimming hole in Berwyn off of 16th street tho? It might be Pyrce Park on Wesley Ave? If your in the area and want to really have a great beef sandwich, this is the place! I promise!
