Kumo Japanese Steakhouse

I recently went here with my Friends and family. We had a reservation at 7 for 10 people. unfortunately part of my part went to the wrong location. The staff was very understanding and accommodating when still getting us in even though they were 30 mins late. Service was great. Food was great. Drinks were strong. Atmosphere was good. Seemed like they were doing some remodeling. As was alittle dirty. the chef did a great job and was very entertaining. The only thing that I would note is that no one asked us if we wanted dessert. They brought the checks before we were even done. At the very end they didn’t close for another 30-45 mins. But it seemed like they were rushing us to get out. Other than that everything was good. It's horrible when you watch everyone that came after you get their food, our server felt she had a better chance getting a tip from the hibachi tables I guess, refills were tough to get, she was no where to be seen!

1. Took forever to get drinks out.

2. I paid extra for the filet on a split meal and John the chef only gave us 1/2 of the filet.

3. Temperature and grill exhaust were horrible. I came out of there smelling like grease and soy sauce.

4. They slap an 18 percent service charge on the tab.

5. No military discount for retirees.

This location is nicer than its Fort Myers one. Much more diverse selection of sushi and rolls. Loved every bite!!

I’ve been buying at this place for 4 years now, I work right across from this place, and the level of rudeness of the manager has made look away and not want to buy anything from this place anymore I order two chicken tempura lunch special which is the bento box and I didn’t hear well, and she plugged in chicken rolls when I picked up the order and told her that’s not what I wanted to she answer by saying “maybe next time you will order correctly.”
I honestly wasn’t looking for a return instead just the right food I wanted.
I’m over disappointed in the fact that for the past years I’ve been a customer, and this lady couldn’t have the courtesy of helping me out.

I ordered filet and chicken combo and it's always so tender and melts in my mouth,but this last time it was tough and didn't taste Like filet but perhaps it was just a regular sirloin. And normally I would be ok with that but not for almost 30 dollars for my meal for it to be tough, I will cook a sirloin at home but when I eat out and order a thirty dollar meal I expect it to at least be tender!!! And my boyfriends filet was the same way dry and tough and his was supposed to be med rare.

We came here for lunch after reading some great reviews. The food wasn’t really up to our expectations.

The lunch specials are great. I’ll give them that. The prices are spot on.

Spider Crab Roll: We were impressed with how big the soft shell crab was when this came out, but the crab tasted dirty. It was really unappealing. It left a bit of a bad taste in our mouth.

3 Roll Lunch Special (DoubLe Eel and Yellowtail): The eel was decent and the yellowtail was extraordinary. I’d recommend yellowtail to anyone

Lunch Katsu Pork: This wasn’t bad but you can kind of taste older cooking oil. The sauce was good that accompanied it.

The coolest place and the best sushi! The seats are so comfy. The hibachi is so cool and the people doing it include you in it and make your experience better. If you sit at the sushi bar, you can watch them make the sushi! And they give you a free crab salad! Yum! The sushi is so good and the decoration is too. If you live in the cape or in ft. Myers, COME HERE PLEASE! It’s so goooood! If you are visiting, come here too. If you live any where in the world really, just come here pleaseeeeee! It’s so good and worth it! Staff nice, food yummy, I think that my point is made! ?

Great sushi!! Chill environment!!! Lemon drop is by far my favorite roll.?
