We took the water taxi over to Rum Bay Restaurant and it did not disappoint. Our server Debbie was so attentive and funny. It was happy hour and we got a bogo appetizer of conch fritters. There were 9 in an order and so yummy. I got the blackened tacos, my son got the Mahi dinner and hubby got the blackened grouper. Everything was presented wonderfully and so very tasty. I can't wait till my next guests get here to experience this all over again. Thank you Rum Bay Restaurant. Hope to see you soon.

Server was very polite and taxi ride was the highlight. We originally ordered the half rack of ribs, but were told they would not be ready for another 30 minutes even though the restaurant had been open for two hours.The food was very bland and my order of glazed salmon arrived fifteen minutes after our other party’s food. The rice was plain minute rice and the zucchini was totally tasteless. Never again.

Everything was just mediocre for me, though my husband did love his hamburger but to be fair I've never seen a hamburger he didn't like lol It did take our waiter some time to get our drinks and order, but she was friendly. Roaches dirty work environment when raining water leaks through the roof in dish room black mold under cabinets. Took 2 hrs to clean soda machine that had black mold caked all over machine. Very nasty place to work/ eat definitely needs a good inspection. Probably the nastiest restaurant I’ve ever worked at. PLEASE DO NOT WORK HERE WORST MANAGEMENT AND THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY EVEN IF YOU GIVE THEM ALL YOUR STUFF BACK.

We wasted so much time at this restaurant. The drinks were horrible to start, we’d have to wait 30 minutes at a time to get a refill because our waitress was nowhere to be found, they tasted terrible even the soft drinks, food took an hour from order to receiving and was equally as nasty as the drinks. Expensive for such terrible quality food and service. There was a leak in the ceiling conveniently right above my seat. All around a terrible experience. Do not recommend and unfortunately after the fact we talked to some locals and they’ve been going down hill for a minute so do not let these other reviews fool you.

Do not be deceived by the atmosphere and unique location accessible via boat taxi. Unfortunately, the positives stop there.
First, the menu listed online is not what the restaurant actually serves. Upon arrival, our table of six with reservations had to wait over 15 minutes because the hostess claimed they were short on menus…??? When we asked to be seated while waiting for the menus, the waitress seemed confused about where to place us.
Once we finally received the menus, we realized that nothing matched what we saw online. Our server confirmed that the food listed online is no longer available because the web developer locked them out of the website—an odd and unprofessional detail to share.
As for the food, it was honestly disgusting. The fries were unseasoned, the chicken sandwich looked like it came from McDonald's, and the grouper fish was served with green beans and carrots, making for a below one-star meal.
The staff exhibited zero class throughout our visit. I do not recommend this restaurant.
