I was visiting from North Carolina for the holidays and me and the family decided to stop by Cantina Captiva for lunch. I don’t normally write reviews on my restaurant experiences but I just wanted to point out how excellent the food and service was! Especially our server Jeffery who was so friendly and professional! The restaurant was pretty busy ( as to be expected during the holiday season) but Jeffery did an amazing job handling the chaos while still being attentive to our needs. I worked in the hospitality industry for over a decade so that level of professionalism and friendliness while also multitasking is an incredible skill that I very much respect and appreciate. I believe when people go above and beyond they should be recognized for it. So big shout out to Jeffery as well as the rest of the staff! And thanks for recommending the fish tacos, they were amazing!

We stopped here after leaving too late from Sanibel to get to the Bubble Room-which had a 2 hour wait. The reviews for here were pretty good, so we thought we’d try. There were 4 adults and 2 children. No one here was friendly - we sat outside at the picnic tables, which were dirty. The heaters were on, which was great since it had cooled off. My frozen margarita was basically a glass of ice with no flavor. It got spilled accidentally by one of us and landed on my granddaughter-in front of our server. He practicslky ran away from the table and didn’t help us clean up. He never asked if I wanted anything else to drink , which I would have paid for. The restaurant was out of fountain drinks. My daughters margarita was not good, and my other daughter had sangria, which she couldn’t drink because it tasted awful. The queso was good- my enchiladas were ok, the shrimp dish was good and my daughter’s tacos with corn tortillas were not warmed up and broke when she tried to eat them. Server never checked on us much. Very disappointed. I know it’s Christmas season and busy, but we expected a little better service. This is as the first time in years we tipped less then 20%.

Our family came here for dinner on our first night on Captiva Island. We got a fajita sandwich, two tacos, chicken fajitas and Mahi Mahi tacos. Everything was great and the atmosphere, along Main Street, was wonderful.

The food was ok at best. We ordered guacamole as an appetizer and I'm pretty certain it was not fresh. We waited over an hour and 1/2 for our meals. Our server seemed to not know where he was at or what he was doing everytime I saw him. We received better service from servers that were waiting on tables beside us, than we did from our own. He never even checked to see if we got what we ordered(my husband got the wrong meal). Disappointing because we LOVE Mexican food.
We did enjoy the outdoor seating area.

This was the worst most expensive Mexican food we have ever had the displeasure of paying for. Supposedly the drinks and food are homemade, but it was more likely all from a jar. Zero flavor in the food.

We went for lunch. The food was delicious and the setting was very nice. They have great drinks and have a well priced offering. Would definitely recommend to anyone on a day trip.

Stopped for lunch after riding out bikes from Sanibel. The service was excellent and we really enjoyed the food - chips and guacamole followed by chimichangas and fish tacos.
Cosy interior and lots of outdoor seating. It's worth taking a dollar bill to staple to the wall!

Taco Bell is better than this. Extremely dry tamales with no sauce. Flat iron steak was extremely thin and dry but tasted okay likely because of salt only. Salsa is basically diced tomatoes and onions only. Portions were not big. Menu was fairly limited. Pitcher of beer was flat. Bathrooms were gross. The decor was charming enough with dollar bills all over the walls. I really wanted this to be good.

The server had such a bad attitude when he walked up to the table, we ordered drinks and then after talking about it with each other we decided, we are out, so we grabbed the server and told him to cancel the order and left.
Went down the street to Rosarito Cantina and it was fantastic, service was great and the food was even better.

We stopped in for a light lunch and it was a great experience. The place was empty at lunch, so we got really fast service. We both had some tacos and they were delicious. It was a nice light meal. We would return.

Best authentic Mexican food. Fresh salsa, best fried fish tacos, and an atmosphere that is second to none. Super chill with excellent service. We cannot wait to go back.
