LaTravia was great. She made us feel welcomed and like we were the only ones in a busy restaurant! Continuously checked on us. Would come back just for her!

We found the food quality to be vastly overpriced. While the restaurant offers a lovely ambiance, much like many experiences on Captiva Island, the 5-star feel was not matched by the knowledge or attentiveness of the leadership and service staff.

We came in with a very basic allergy need, and it was disheartening to feel like third-class citizens simply for explaining that our son cannot have gluten. The lack of understanding and care left us truly disappointed. They did take care of the bottle of wine that we purchased as a way to make amends, and of course we were grateful for that. A nice gesture, but we still left the restaurant wondering if we would ever eat there again.

It gives me no pleasure to write this, as South Seas Island Resort holds a very special place in our hearts. But our first dining experience in this newly refurbished restaurant was so discouraging that I felt compelled to speak up.

This restaurant looks amazing, but apparently it is only open to resort guests. We were looking forward to dinner here while staying elsewhere on the island AND had called to make a reservation AND were never told this key detail when we called. We were turned away at the gate. Very disappointing. The guy at the welcome gate was very apologetic and indicated this happens every weekend despite telling management. Come on South Seas Management, make this detail more visible on your website and invest in training your staff and informing potential guests OR open it up to the public. Hopefully this helps others. I will gladly take this down once confirmed.

We had a lovely experience for date night. Our food was amazing; I got the branzino and my husband got the ribeye, and we shared the caprese melon appetizer along with some other things. We asked Zach to do wine and drink pairings and were really impressed with his choices. Ask for him if you go!

Grilled octopus was incredible and Marina made sure we had an amazing evening - fantastic service!

Marina, our server, was excellent. Food was very good. Wine and cappuccino’s outside overlooking the marina. Atmosphere was great. We plan to visit again soon. Highly recommended for a great dining experience.

We had the best fine dining experience! Amanda, our server, was very attentive and even noticed how my three year old loved the strawberry on the dessert, that she brought him a whole plate of them! She went above and beyond! Loved how the Restaurant Manager, Johnny Perez, checked on us and ensured our fine dining experience was exceptional. I had the short rib ravioli and it was delicious! We also had this chocolate dessert with chocolate and white chocolate gelato inside that was incredible! Also, the Italian coffee was delicious. Highly highly recommend this restaurant! The atmostphere was absolutely beautiful and exquisite and the service was top notch! We even saw a manatee on our way out. Thank you for providing an awesome dining experience, that we will never forget!

A wonderful experience. I had Kung pao calamari for dinner and it was AMAZING!
