The Green Flash Restaurant

Came for breakfast at 9am and out of a few things we wanted to order. Food was good but disappointed we couldn't get the food we wanted. Some was sold out and some they just didn't carry even though it was on the menu.

Good experience. We have a high bar for food quality so it was very good just not outstanding. For the price point it was very good

Great food, service, and atmosphere! We went for my husband's birthday and we both loved it! We will definitely be back. I had the Captiva Steam Pot which was delicious seafood, and my husband had the stuffed shrimp. Yum

Unfortunately I have to rate this how did all because: well to start, the blonde hostess isn’t friendly and seems stuck up. And while we waited for our table, I went to use the ladies room when a server walked in- I said hello and she didn’t say anything back, then she went into a bathroom stall and when she walked out, she walked right past me without washing her hands!!!! I couldn’t believe it!! NASTY!!! Turns out, I sit at our table and she is our server- the disrespect to not even wash your hands in front of me and then serve me a water that you put a straw in and a lemon on with your dirty hands. I believe she said her name was Julianna. I was going to tell Michael but I was with my boyfriend’s entire family and they could already sense that I was unhappy at the restaurant which they didn’t appreciate. She is to blame.

Party of 9 , inside seating…. Arrival 5:30 and place was already bustling . Our entrees did not all come out together , two people waiting for their food while the others were served . It is Restaurant 101 to serve the whole party at the same time . Probably a better experience for couples or family of 4 but I do not recommend for large groups. We had much better service down the road at more than one restaurant.

This was my first time, but my mom's favorite place. We happen to visit on a night where they were extremely busy. Short handed perhaps. Definitely not ready for what was coming in the door, HOWEVER, the way they handled it, at least for us, was amazing and very much appreciated. Cody, thank you for going above and beyond for my family and I. Food was amazing!! Drinks were amazing!! View is gorgeous! We will be back!

It was Father's Day and very busy. They happily accommodated our late arrival and we were promptly seated. The “team” service was very attentive and timely. We had the ribeye which was OK, Grouper de Paris which was excellent and the chicken while tasty was a little bit tough. The apple crumble with ice cream was delicious. We always enjoy Green Flash while in Captiva and recommend it.

I went up the steps, walked in, and talked to the host. I told them I wanted to sit outside on the patio and they said that’d be fine and handed me a menu, that I could sit wherever I like out there. However, no one ever came to serve me. I had to get up and get myself a glass of water. After trying to grab a waitress I was told by one of them “I have to wait” after I had been waiting an absurd amount of time. It wasn’t even that busy.

Very nice place. Not a bad seat in the house. Food was pretty good. We had the green flash sandwich (8/10), clam strips (9/10), and steak sandwich (7/10).

We had dinner and lunch at the Green Flash during our stay in Captiva. The atmosphere was great and the water views were wonderful! Our waiter Craig was very welcoming and definitely made our experience at the Green Flash pleasant. My husband got the special which was seafood linguine and my daughter and I ordered the stuffed shrimp.Also tried the Captiva salad for lunch! The food was served fresh, hot, and in a timely manner. These dishes were very good and I would recommend them! We enjoyed our visit to the Green Flash and look forward to visiting again soon!

While we understand that Sanibel and Captiva are still in recovery mode, we were disappointed by the quality of the food served and our servers inattentiveness.
Thankfully the bartender, I believe his name was Mike, still managed to make our visit enjoyable.

Really nice place on the water. A bit more upscale atmosphere, but good with shorts and a nice T-shirt. Sat at the bar, friendly bartender. Seating outside has plenty of fans and umbrellas. Nice seating options inside. Cover area as well.

Overall meh. Very disappointed. This is the first time we've been to this restaurant in several years. We had a positive recollection when previously dining here. Although we had reservations we need to wait a few minutes for a table to clear. Seemed a little busy and very noisy. We ordered 2 different grouper dishes. Both were over cooked and salty. It was like they were kept under a heat lamp. Nothing special about the vegetables...tasted like they were not fresh but frozen prepackaged store bought items. Espresso though a nice size cup was weak.

Best Grouper sandwich is SW Florida. Very pretty setting on Captiva Island. Great docks and friendly staff~!
