This cosy small town diner in Cedar Key was greatly missed while closed for renovations due to hurricane Helene. So happy to have them back! Afternoons now have expanded menu from Steamers. The food and people are wonderful. Stop by when you're in town for a little slice of Americana.

My sister and I went to this little cafe and I ordered one egg over medium and some sourdough toast. When she brought it out it had two eggs on the plate. The eggs were perfectly cooked but the toast was not toast it was just bread that was very very lightly toasted but it was soggy with margarine on it. the cappuccino was excellent. Well we went back the next day and I was very specific and said I want one egg over medium and an order of toast medium brown with no margarine. The toast was excellent but the egg was not cooked. It was still really slimy and undercooked. She didn't come out for 10 minutes I was going to ask her to cook it longer and when she finally came out I said we're ready to go. I can't eat the egg it's undercooked and I was specific. She didn't charge me for the meal and told me since I had a bad day the day before she wouldn't charge me. I didn't have a bad day the day before I think they are having a bad day or their cook is having a bad day. I just want my food cooked the way I order it that's all and she argued with me.

Here for a getaway from Daytona beach and called in a breakfast order, picked it up went early and asked for a Bloody Mary, was immediately told in a snarky attitude you know you can’t bring that out to go, no kidding! I am not stupid and didn’t appreciate being treated that way, and was rushed out when my order was ready. Had to slam my bloody and leave quick like they wanted me out. Nice hospitality! Will go to Annie’s next time where the locals said is the best place on this small island. The staff is bitter and just plain not friendly at all.
