Place is destroyed by hurricane and won't be coming back

Great atmosphere & view. Friendly staff, & dogs are welcome for outside dining. Complaint; food. I ordered shrimp basket for lunch & when it arrived, I should've declined it. 6 fried shrimp, 2 hush puppies over a basket of fries; a little pricey at $12.99. The dark color of the shrimp told me they had been way over cooked. I personally think these were frozen shrimp, not fresh; very misleading, for a restaurant on the Gulf coast. Shrimp were dark brown & tuff consistency; only ate 2 & brought rest home for my dog. This restaurant was damaged by 2 recent hurricanes & have reopened. Wish them lots of luck, but hope they will improve their menu & cooking style.

I was run off by a cop she said i could not fish there i may be wrong but I told her to wright the ticket she did not I think they are wrong to be like that it was all about fishing I will find some where elce !

We celebrated our friends birthday dinner at 83 West.
Food and drinks were 10/10
Food came out in a timely manner, hot and fresh (I highly recommend the Crab Dip). Very attentive waitress. Beautiful and clean restaurant. Definely a must try if visiting Cedar Key.

This restaurant is a must !!! The waitress lets you know the chef prepares each dish. (The wait was quicker than expected). The Mayor of Dock Street Salad was delicious, spring mix, corn relish, tortilla chips bbq and ranch dressing…it was so flavorful I enjoyed the salad without the dressing! Thank you, oh the Chef comes out to check on you too!!

Food was a little pricey had to pay extra for Parmesan cheese on a pasta dish. If you used your credit card, it cost more but we paid with cash and they kept all the change so might as well use my credit card don’t know who keeps the money, but that adds up after a while

Oh my God. This place was amazing. Beautiful view. Great service and the food was fresh and delicious. We all enjoyed our meal and the restaurant was super clean and beautifully decorated with the sea theme and a homey feel. The bathroom was super clean and the staff were so friendly and very patient and polite with us. The kitchen manager and, I would guess he was also the chef came out and checked with us and everyone that was in the restaurant making sure we all were good and enjoying our meal. Great restaurant and great town. Would diffinality go back there again.

The ambiance is beautiful, with a beautiful view of the ocean! The food is superb with the chef greeting and meeting each table while professionally inquiring about the food and service. You can tell 83 West cares about the food they serve. Also, Alicia Bennett is a phenomenonal server who's an active listener with a zen attitude. God bless 83 West team!

My husband and I travel a lot/ eat at different restaurants all over. We ate here all THREE nights visiting Cedar Key. Best food I’ve had in a while.
