Just good fresh seafood! Locally caught and fresh! Not to mention very reasonably priced! Homemade chowder was amazing! Always stop in here when we're in the area! Best part is that you can take home fresh Locally caught seafood from their market too!

We had been there several times two years ago when we stayed in Cedar Key for a couple of months and the food was terrific. Even bought grouper and shrimp that was fresh and good. We stopped by this Wednesday on the way to Tampa and bought 3lbs of grouper to cook for relatives. When we got to their home we noticed the fish smelled bad. We rinsed it off with cold water but did not help get rid of the smell. Over $60.00 of fish went to the trash after smelling up the house.

Don’t do it!!! The worst food!!! I ordered deviled crabs and I don’t know what they served me but it was horrible, nothing but filler that was so greasy!! I couldn’t eat it, I tried but it was so nasty. The server asked how everything was about 15 minutes after she served us our meal- I told her it was horrible, she asked if I wanted anything else and I declined. I ate some of the fries. She had another server bring us our bill- nothing was taken off. We paid our bill left her. 20 percent tip and left. We should have listened to our friends who said the food was horrible, but no…… next time we will listen when someone gives us advice

Great seafood 😋, great owners, we stopped on our way out of Cedar Key Florida. We met the new owners , of Slaughter house seafood, they are so awesome, very polite, and friendly . Thank you
Unassuming Seafood Market with sit down dining available. Great stop if you want to avoid crowds waterside. Prices are also reasonable. Local shrimp and grouper available. Mostly fried options.
