Tony's clam chowder is the best on the planet! I often make a special trip to Tony's just to get the chowder. I make sure to stock up on it at Publix, too, for those times when I can't go to Cedar Key. I've never had a bad meal at Tony's no matter what I ordered, and always take home some fresh clam chowder for later.
We stopped in for lunch, looking for local seafood. All they had on the menu was clam chowder and grulled cheese sandwich. So we tried the chowder and was very good, just was looking for a varied menu.
It was our first time in Ceder Key. We chose Tony's because my wife loves clam chowder. We found they had a very limited menu, I'm assuming because of the hurricane that flooded the town about a year ago, and some places are still recovering. She did get the clam chowder and really liked it. I got the hot dog and chips and it was fine. My only disappointment was the limited choices.
