BubbaQue's BBQ - Chiefland

We have eaten at BubbaQue's in Crystal River (and loved it) so thought we would try the one in Chiefland. Such a huge disappointment. We purchased 2 brisket meals at 17 plus a meal, the brisket was mostly fat, the okra wasn't done and the fries were cold. The only thing this facility had going for itself was the service was great.

The food was great and the customer service was excellent. We ordered the brisket basket, and although the portion was smaller than expected at first, the waitress kindly brought us more, which we really appreciated.

The waitress had a terrible attitude. She acted like she didn't want to wait on us. Found a hair in our food. Definitely will not be back. Very bad impression of our first visit.

I ordered a half redneck nachos, I asked for crunchy as I always do. My fries weren't even done, they were hot but not done at all. Very little pulled pork on them but tons of cheese. I asked for no sauce on them but sugar shack on the side, they were covered in sauce I didn't ask for. I've called 3 times and was told the manager wasn't there and that's the only person who could help me. This is the 2nd time this has happened, no satisfaction either time. There won't be a 3rd time. Place has really gone downhill.

Desperately seeking some competent management! walked in and was told they were cash only. Asked why and was told they tried to balance out cash and credit customers everyday. Today, they were short on cash. Honestly, this is what happen. We left.

This is the fourth time we’ve ordered chicken dinners, and the chicken so dry very hard to eat. The garlic bread, greens and okra were good. The manager contacted me on my review said to email him I did and never heard back from him.

Everything is really good but the brisket and baked beans are on another level.

Wow, food was delicious, I ordered pulled Pork with baked beans and jalapeño poppers. OMG. Service was fast and cordially. Prices are affordable. Place is nice and cozy.

Just stopped for a quite bite. Both at the counter were so helpful with allergies and overall just kind people. Definitely make the stop!

I lived in San Antonio Texas for 22 years and BubbaQue’s is the closest to Texas Brisket in the Tri-County (Dixie, Levy& Gilchrist) that I have found.

Ordered my food online at 8:04 went to the store sat in drive through nobody came to the window till 8:50 when they told us they had a catering order and they hadn’t even started ours yet didn’t get food till 9:15.
