I never ever complain when I go out. I never send food back. I am not picky at all. The food was so bad here I didn't even send it back. I had ever intention of paying the full bill even though none of us are our meals.Steak overcooked. The waitress described the gravy as "watery". The mashed potatoes were slimy. I don't even know how that's possible. The salad bar was so sad looking. Many items were canned or jarred vegetables.Even the soda wasn't right. The machine isn't putting out enough CO2 so everything is overly sweet and thick.The waitress and the cashier were exceptionally great and were very kind. But the food was pretty bad ?

I'm sorry I couldn't give zero stars. This place is the worst food I've ever had in my mouth, including hospital food and prison. I mean, I am so sorry for anyone that ever lied for them and said this was good. I don't think can stress to what degree of nasty that was. No seasoning, food was hard when it should have been soft, soft when it should have been hard. I am so sorry for anyone that had to endure this.

Most money I have ever paid for the least amount of food. 45.00 during the day for two adults and a 9 year old. Had fried chicken corn dogs and canned chilli for the meat, instant mashed potatoes, every vegetable was clearly unseasoned straight from a can... Was told out the gate kitchen service for menu items would be slow and wasn't worth bothering with. No Mac and cheese. Server was polite but there weren't many options and it was over priced.

The fried chicken was good, but we were a little disappointed in the rest of the buffet. We came for the country fried steak because some locals said it was the best, but buffet was the only option. Service was friendly. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

We have driven past The Gathering Table for 28 years and never gotten to stop because we usually have a dog or two with us. But today 6/5/2022 we did not. While the buffet was disappointing because it consisted of canned vegetables and fried chicken ( chicken was amazing) but no salad bar , or other options our waitress made the visit worth it I really wish I had of gotten her name. She was the dark headed girl and she was just amazing! She was funny, sweet, fast and accurate. There fore she got a 50% tip even though I believe that if you can’t provide the full buffet you shouldn’t charge full price. I’mI saw several people leave because the buffet wasn’t up to pare. I’m assuming that it is usually much better than it was today because folks looked disappointed to not get what they must have been used too.

It was clean...waitress was nice..flirted with my son. Not busy..The cake was good..the garden salad on bar was ok but ALOT of wilted leaves. Not my kind of place but you might like it...buffet was SMALL!! really lacked variety and veggies. Mashed potatos n gravy were ok...not very warm. Husband said peach cobbler was at least very hot n fresh

We stopped by earlier this morning before they were even open. Ron, the kitchen manager let us have a seat and personally cooked us a wonderful breakfast. The food was good, but his willingness to make sure we ate made this amazing. He went beyond his duties and his care for this community is impeccable. Way to go guys. Awesome staff and service. We will definitely be back. Thanks for caring. The Gathering table is a fine example of how to treat your community.
Delicious fried and barbecue chicken plus sliced pork tenderloin. Favorite sides included the mashed potatoes, fried okra, surprisingly good steak fries, lime beans with bacon, corn kernels and a full salad bar. You need to ask for the complimentary biscuits and cornbread. I liked the peach cobbler too. $9.99 lunch all you can ear is excellent pricing. Try it, you'll like it!

The oil needs to be changed everything was extremely brown usually from old oil. The country fried steak was the worst I've ever eaten. White gravy needs seasoning.The grilled chicken breast taste like it was expired or something the mash potatoes would about come out of the bowl in a clump when you tried to eat them. Service is slow. The sweet tea was great though. I love sweet tea.

I grew up southern and love the food. It’s hard to find in South Florida so when I’m in the rest of Florida I always seek out southern home Cookin. This spot hits all my buttons. The food is good, the buffet is very nice. The folks were friendly and took good care of us. We were there on a Sunday late morning after a campin trip and even with the large after church crowd to bump elbows with at the buffet it was a pleasurable experience. My wife hates buffets and is very picky, but even she was very happy and didn’t send anything back for a change. I’ll definitely seek them out next time I’m up that way!

Normal stop when driving back from Biloxi. We live in Tarpon springs and it's only 101 miles away. Well worth the drive. This time we stopped today around 315 to find a wonderful lady named Laura . She was so friendly and so happy to be doing her job. The food as always was awesome. But today the service was top notch. This is a must stop.
