Our Server Blaine was outstanding!!!! Chef Dennis prepared amazing meals. Everyone was so friendly and energetic. Definitely worth the Money as it was my favorite place we ate at on our 2 week vacation
We came in at 7pm with a reservation for 10 people. We were celebrating a bachelorette party. Our server was amazing, she was very caring and sweet. However, we waited about 45 mins to an hour for our food. We also waited about 15 mins for our drinks. We were a large party and the majority of us work in restaurants so we understand that food can take awhile for large parties. However, no one stopped by the table to let us know this, we were just waiting with no info. Then, when the food came out, some items were good, my steak was overcooked (well done when I asked for medium rare), and one of our meals was completely lukewarm at best! We returned the lukewarm meal and asked for a recook. That recook took about 20 minutes to come out and the crab cake was ice cold inside. That could have made a person in our party sick!!! The server apologized profusely and got it taken off the check but no manager came by to check on us or apologize. For the price and wait, we expected a little bit more. However, our server was super sweet and very apologetic for everything. She's the only reason I rated 3 stars!!!
It was amazing and the waitress was amazing service names Teresa-I would definitely come back again and the pineapple upside down was worthy it. Thank you.
Lots of great choices on the menu. I got the crab roll and it was delicious! The atmosphere is really nice. Good views and options to sit inside or out on the patio. Our server was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our meal.
Everything went bad with my table, it lasted 2hr just to have my entree and took a lot of time just to have some desserts which they actually throw them to the trash by mistake.
First-time New Year's experience with the Cove dinner package, and unfortunately it was disappointing to say the least. We had 8:00 PM reservations yet were still waiting in line at 8:15 PM. Once seated, we did not see a waitress until after 9:00 PM, and that was only after I flagged someone down just to ask for water. To make matters worse, our second course arrived before anything else, even before water or drinks. The first course wasn't served until I pointed out that the second course had already been brought out. Overall service was extremely slow and disorganized. The package advertised party favors for outside seating, which we never received. It honestly felt like the staff was unprepared and unaware of how many dinner package reservations had been booked in advance. Guests seated inside even came outside to talk with us, mentioning they also had not received drinks or proper service. We spent over $300 for a party of two, and the experience did not come close to meeting expectations. I moved to Florida five months ago and was really looking forward to celebrating New Year's at Shephard's, but sadly this was not the experience I hoped for.
We had reservations for the NYE event. The cost of two tickets was 300.00 and we had a bruschetta appetizer ( small) two heads of romaine lettuce which was bbq ( very odd ) the main course was a filet mignon and a seafood cake both were delicious. Dessert was key lime pie with way too much cream . Was it worth the price? Definitely not. Our waiter was very nice but there was not enough wait staff so we waited over thirty minutes for a drink. Live music outside but we were restricted as to where we could stand. Imagine! Fireworks were to start at midnight and a fight broke out at the bar .Two older people were pushed to the ground. Totally ridiculous- we left. Never saw the fireworks or got our champagne- definitely not worth it . Just a money grabber. Pretty venue but would never go there for an event again .
We chose to celebrate NYE dinner there. Arrived for an 8pm reservation early so that we could have a drink before dinner, bar was closed. Allowed in the doors at 8:20, put in a room with a dozen large round tables: nothing set including silverware, linens, decorations- forget it! Food was very slow coming out, last course served at 10:29. Server was trying but she had tables in three different areas. Not an impression I wanted to give my out of town guests!
Had a great experience on Sunday night during happy hour. We had the salmon and NY strip. Both were great. Josh our server was the best, very attentive and the experience was all around very enjoyable. We will be back.
The food was great! Our server Brianna was excellent too. You sure can't beat the view on a Sunday morning.

Service from Jerry was outstanding. He just knows his job very well. The fish was point on and everyone.
Lovely beachfront restaurant within the Shepard's hotel. Indoor and outdoor covered seating. Be warned if you sit outside, the birds are quite aggressive. We went for brunch which is served only on weekends. Food and service were great. Pretty good value as well. Would definitely go back.
The location is beautiful and the restaurant itself is nice. However the food was just ok. Obviously others feel the same because we went to this restaurant as everyone else was packed. When we walked in at 7pm there were only 3 tables being used. Hope they can improve the food as the beach location is great and the server was nice.
Blaine was our server and bartender, he provided us with wonderful suggestions, was attentive, and explained how they rebuilt after the hurricanes. I had the lump crab roll and fries and my husband had the Jamaican red snapper, and for an appetizer we had the shrimp cocktail. Everything had good flavor, fresh, and some surprises along with every bite. Would suggest trying them if you enjoy flavorful food!!!!
We were attacked by birds most of our experience. The food was fine except for the horrible frozen deep fried potato cubes obviously from a bag. Who eats that? Our waiter was way too busy to ensure the food was cleared from nearby tables to help out with the bird attacks. Will not go again. Every location we ate at had many many birds that were fishing and staying away from tables. This is an issue related to the mismanagement of food, sugar packets and butter being left on the tables. We watched the birds carry them away and eat them. The other restaurants took these things from the table before we even left. And no bird problems.
