Ordered Sushi rolls for lunch. The Sushi pieces were all random temperatures (from ice cold to room temperature). The rolls weren’t compact. The tuna didn’t taste fresh (looked mashed). Honestly it was hard to finish. You would be hard pressed to find something worst. Better off buying Publix sushi for lunch. Services was good though.

Best sushi in town! Always so good from the apps to all the sushi rolls. Fresh and delicious.
We got the spicy tuna roll, the TNT roll, and the ramen. We have never ever had sushi that bad. The tuna was so out of temperature and we couldn’t even finish eating the bite we took. The ramen tasted like instant ramen with food added. We were extremely hungry yet very disappointed. The guy was nice and compensated accordingly but we won’t be coming back.

One of our family's favorite sushi spots in the bay area!
This family owned and operated restaurant is clean and spacious; the staff is super friendly; and the food is always fresh and consistently good. They serve a variety of dishes so even non-sushi eaters have a great selection to choose from and are always great about accomdating any special orders!

The very BEST in sushi. I’ve been going to Charlie for 21 years and that is simply due to the immense quality of sushi that Charlie and his staff crafts. Every ingredient is extremely fresh, the menu is well designed, and everything is made authentic with superb quality. Do not miss out on this gem!

This is the best sushi we've ever had. Our other sushi spot closed, so we came here to our previous sushi chef's family - Charlie's. We will be making the 30 minute drive to come here because it's that good. Thank you for a wonderful meal and experience.

Hands down the best sushi we have ever had. Wonderful service, such a friendly server, the highest quality authentic, fresh sushi. The chef absolutely amazing. We are so thankful we found our new spot. 5 star service. Don't go elsewhere.

The only reason why I’m giving this a 4 start is because the waiter was exceptional. I believe his name was Alan but he was handling the entire place by himself and was very efficient and personable.
The roll I ordered was fine, (you can’t never really go wrong with sushi rolls) and Japanese beer on draft is always a solid choice. But the ramen was a huge letdown. The broth had no depth at all—more like instant ramen with slightly upgraded noodles. The egg was hard-boiled instead of soft, and the whole bowl was overly salty with zero umami. The chashu pork was all clumped up unlike the slices you would usually get at a place that serves ramen
I haven’t tried their actual sushi (and no, rolls don’t count), so I can’t speak to that. But if you’re going to put ramen on the menu, at least make an effort

Place is da bomb! I’d like to eat lunch there every day. Check it out. You’ll be glad you did.
Not much to look at from the outside and ain’t no beauty on the inside. BUT, where it counts - the SUSHI - unreal. Incredibly fresh and delicious.
The main dude, Charlie, I assume, is clearly a seasoned professional in the trade. And truly - I have had nothing but perfect sushi there.
Young guy at the bar is very pleasant, too, and they have some lovely Japanese whiskies. Buen provecho!
