My husband and I booked this resort after reviewing all the options in Clearwater and chose it because of its fantastic reviews. Upon arrival at the “resort” we ran into many problems between the subpar accommodations to some of the staff who lacked in proper customer service. We have two young children and after our stay we definitely never plan on returning realizing this was not a family friendly resort or beach. At night the drug use on the beach was rampant and it appare

Very nice location, the heart of the main strip and across from the beach. Staff very attentive.I would probably give it 4 stars, but here is why I'm only giving it 1.1. 85 degrees in the hallway of the 9th floor we were staying at. Unbearable to walk through. Don't know why they shut off the a/c. It got better the last couple pf days we were there.2. They have us a 1 king size bed, when we were a family of 4.3. They charged us twice for parking each day. Which they eventually took off.4. They were police-ing the hallways for people not wearing a mask. This was pretty extreme.

Friendly staff! Beautiful facilities but my daughter found a pill in the room when we first checked in and out it in her mouth. The front desk staff provided us with a credit to spend at the hotel but to be honest, Putting money right back into their pockets was the last thing that should have been offered.

Just got back today from our trip to clearwater beach FL.We stayed at the Hyatt regency for three nights after careful consideration. Booking was easy process and all was well. Upon arriving we were greeted with a warm welcome.. although i missed the champagne part. I saw where everyone else was welcomed with a glass of champagne... i guess we did not fit the rest of their guests image. Anyway, we were on the 10th floor... room was nice and updated. We had a wonderful view of the bay and pool. Everything was clean and as expected. Didn't have much interaction with front desk enough to comment but all was well.I'm awaiting my 150$ deposit to be refunded but other than that our stay here was dreamy... you get what you pay for and it was worth it all. Beautiful time, i miss it already a bit. The pool is absolutely the best part about this hotel. I'll include some pictures. Oh they also have a laundry room on each floor which was super helpful!

Friendly faces great location and near the beach didn't fully make up for the constant mistakes and the troublesome service I got from their staff.

So my review is based on a wedding I attended at the Hyatt. The venue was on the 16th floor balcony area - which was okay, nothing spectacular. When seated you couldn't even see the ocean. They have you move downstairs to a cocktail hour on a balcony that is no wider than 3 people. The ladies serving hors d'oeuvres didn't even hand you a napkin & couldn't tell us if stuff had been near the other items(containing shell fish) for people with shell fish allergies. Once seated inside we were served a plated meal. I had apparently ordered the veggie entree and received 6 ravioli that were drizzled in sauce. They were so cold and tasted bad - a frozen dinner would have been better. The cake (lemon/vanilla & raspberry/chocolate) were some of the driest, artificial tasting cakes I've ever had. The staff shut down the ladies room midway through the wedding & when I asked where the next one was the guy couldn't even tell me, he said " somewhere down that hall over there". When leaving I went to pay my $29 for valet parking. I was then informed it was only if I was a guest there, it's $60 if I'm not staying. I told him that the valet guy himself told me it was $29 because I was there for an event. We went back and forth for awhile before he finally realized I wasn't backing down. So all in all I wouldn't expect much from a wedding here. The DJ was great though!

A group of 4 of us traveled to Clearwater for a friend 45th Birthday weekend and stayed here. Let's just start by saying the hotel and the staff are great. They are attentive, helpful and willing to assist where needed and very true to doing whatever they can to rectify any issues. The hotel entry isn't amazing, it's just a door on the side of a street that you wouldn't know that it was the entry to such a Grande hotel / resort. Our room was amazing, we were on the 16th floor which is the floor for access to the jacuzzi. Our suite overlooked the pool and had an amazing view of Clearwater Beach. We had a full kitchen and lovely living space for our celebration pleasure. The beds were comfy and having two bathrooms made it very comfortable for 4 women in one suite. The things that we encountered that were not pleasing were: - The housekeeping - The heating and air Let's start with housekeeping.. It doesn't help when the cleaning staff doesn't speak any English in a touristy area in Florida. The cleaning staff seemed nice as could be always with smiles coming to clean. HOWEVER they were not thorough in cleaning. They would miss trash cans leaving them full with garbage, not providing the amount of towels they took a way when taking towels, not wiping counters or vacuuming the floor even after seeing noticeable trash that need to be cleaned. When communicating (or trying to) they just smile and we have had to call down (4days straight) to communicate and they it's communicated to them and the items get resolved. That isn't a proper process or a great use of our time while on vacation. The temperature in the room: Everyone one of us had stuffy noses leaving due to the heating and air unit in the room tuning to HELL HOT with dry air then switching to freezing cold so once you sweat and are soaked from sweat the temp switches to freezing cold while your wet. We called maintenance and they said the regulated temp is 68-70 which we set the two thermostats to in the suite and that didn't help it was consistently HOT then COLD the HOT then COLD. I'm not sure if it's an isolated issue for suite 1636 but it's an issue to say the least.
