Where do I start... First impression is you walk up to the mean girls group in high school. The hostesses are rude and act like you are an inconvenience for asking to be seated. Second they won't seat you until your entire party is there even though they only have 12 parking spots and the majority of the guests have to find parking on the street or off their property and walk to their restaurant AND the restaurant is practically empty! There were at least 5 open tables outside and 10 open tables inside. Third, it is a dog friendly restaurant but they don't care if a dog constantly barks and disturb the guests. They could have a standard about well behaved dogs. Fourth, the food is average and prices are above average. Lastly, the view and location is great (thus the 2 stars), but there are a lot of bugs. Maybe it is the beginning of Love Bug season but spray at night or burn citronella torches to control the bugs.

We had to wait 70 min on a Saturday evening but we both agreed it was worth the wait after we had blackened mahi tacos and crab cake sandwich. We also had conch fritters and steamed shrimp. It was clear that the shrimp were fresh. I can't wait to come back and try the fried shrimp.

Late Saturday afternoon lunch, arrived after 2pm, looked busy. Wait time quoted 35-40 mins which was not bad considering. We found some stools, grabbed a couple drinks and waited, lots to look at so wait didn't seem bad at all. Bartender was fast and efficient and seemed to really enjoy his job. Seated along porch facing lake and our server Paige came over took drink order and answered some menu questions. Prices on food a bit high but location was great. Had the corvina fish bites appetizer and a grouper sandwich and avocado shrimp salad, Everything was tasty and hot. Paige was friendly and everyone around seemed to be enjoying a beautiful Saturday on the lake. Won't be a regular spot as it's about 45 mins away and pricy but definitely a fun place to take quests. Idk if they do live music but that would be nice if they did.

This was our second visit to the Salt Shake, first time we sat outside with our dog. Upon being seated we looked over the menus and waited. We sat for a good 8-10 minutes before someone asked if we had been helped. I was annoyed at this point and was ready to go talk to someone. Our waitress Alex changed my attitude immediately with her bubbly and friendly personality. She was very helpful with recommendations for starters as well as the specials. And was very attentive throughout the rest of our visit. We had the gator bites and my husband did the steamed you peel shrimp, which were both delicious. We ended up ordering the fish special pompano but had it cooked differently. It was our first taste of this fish and it was outstanding. We will definitely be returning during a visit down here.

Horrible service. Wait way too long to be seated and get my food. One day i heard the manager yelling at a server.very unprofessional I definitely won't be back who's not all that good either and overpriced just because you get a nice view does not mean you get good quality and good service.
We stopped in on Sunday afternoon and had a very nice experience...but I fell for the third taco add-on. I can't understand how they can offer two (chicken) tacos w/ side for $13.50 and then charge $9 for a third taco. My fault for not asking, but beware of the add-on upcharge.............
Great place.. great location on the lake but $20 for two fish tacos.. I don't think so.. I'm sure we'll stop there again on the boat for happy hour drinks.

Way better than it was when it used to be Lilly's. We tried the gator bites, tacos and fish basket, and they were all excellent.Wheelchair accessibility: You'll have no problems.

My boyfriend and I have been looking forward to trying out this new restaurant in Clermont as our dining experiences have been top notch in the area. We have seen great reviews from TikTok and needed to check out for ourselves. First the atmosphere is bare minimal unless you are going to sit outside by the water sitting inside you are just looking at wood paneling walls zero decor. When you walk up to the front door it’s very confusing on where you go to find the hostess well turns out there’s like 12 of them by the front door and they just stare at you and you have to ask them where you go to get a table. We both had drinks $11 a drink is a little high seeing how I had a two inches of foam in my cup but whatever then we ordered Gator Bites they were handful on top of this soggy lettuce or something that covered most of the basket. Which made the bites soggy. He had the burger and I had the Rasta Pasta which looked great but was supposed to be spicy hence “Rasta” but was a sickly sweet no spice. After leaving the restaurant both of us were had extreme stomach pains and issues the rest of the night. Thanks but no thanks we will not be back or recommend.
