It's a cute place with an overhead roof and lots of tables. There was no live music when I was there but I hear they have it often. I was there at lunch time. I had the German Potato Salad, which was very good and took a Jagerschnitzel dinner to go for later. The pork was a little thick and over-fried than I like it but the taste was good and the mushroom sauce was delicious. The German Chocolate cake was different than I expected but on the lighter side and I liked that. While it was not the best German food I've had, it tasted homemade, was pretty decent and I would go back there again. Service was good, too.

Two of my friends and I decided to get dinner Sunday evening after a show at the Cocoa Village Playhouse. I had the Brathendl, chicken and mashed potatoes with dark gravy dinner. I was hoping it never ended. Delicious! My friends enjoyed their meals too. We also tried the Mega Pretzel appetizer, which was large enough for the three of us to share. Very salty, but you can always take some of the salt off. It came with a nice spicy mustard and beer cheese dipping sauce. So Yummy. I cannot wait to go back to this restaurant. I live in Volusia County, so will be back for a visit and more good food. Definitely a winner in my book. Atmosphere was great too, and Sunday evening they had live music in the garten! P.S. Austin, was a great server!

Village Bier Garten is a German restaurant in the heart of Cocoa Village. We’ve been to some authentic German restaurants in places like Milwaukee, and honestly Village Bier Garten doesn’t compare to those. However, for a quick lunch at a good price in a nice area with great service, Village Bier Garten is just right. The food selection was just OK. For a German restaurant, I expected more than just a basic brat with mustard and sauerkraut but the brat was pretty good. They also had a decent variety of beers, both German and otherwise. We enjoyed the open air seating and atmosphere, and the service was exceptional. The price was also very reasonable. Honestly, it’s not a place I’d eat expecting a great, memorable meal. But if you want a quick meal with solid flavors at a good price, Village Bier Garten fits the bill. -The PowerTrippers

This is a place where all ages and their pets are welcome. Find a spot in the open-air garden or under roof nearer the bar (also open air) - the space feels comfortable and inviting. There's even a space out back with Cornhole where the kids can play. They host live music on a cute outdoor stage. When we were there, 2 small groups were celebrating birthdays. Some people were dancing. Very festive! The delicious fish and chips were big enough for 2 people to share. The staff was very friendly. This place has a feel-good vibe to it. Check it out!

My husband and I were excited to try a new ice cream place. We walked in and it was a small room with loud music, 2 TV screens on the wall straight ahead, to the left of the tvs is a security camera (strange), to the right of walking in is a small mirrored window that you have to ring a bell for service and wait for someone to open the window (which had ants crawling on it). I thought the whole setup was very very strange. It almost felt like an escape room! You cannot even see any of the ice cream they have like in a regular ice cream shop. I started to ask what flavors they had, but not seeing the ice cream like a real ice cream shop, I changed my mind. I decided to order the deep fried snickers ( despite seeing all the negatives I wanted to give it a chance).I am very confused over this place. I also want to say after reading the other reviews and how the owner replied that I will never go back. The owners responses were very unprofessional. Just continuing to say "after reviewing the security footage" is enough for me to say something is wrong here. What ice cream shop does that? This place acts like they are protecting the Queens jewels with how its all laid out. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Great food, beer and entertainment. Service was efficient and decent prices. The landlord was helpful with choices and the live German music and DJ made for a pleasant evening! Good choice of food

The food is gross. The table next to us had to send the fish and chips back as they were still frozen. Our Schnitzel had the consistency of a shoe sole. Totally over-fried, dry and chewy…. No thanks.

The order was completely wrong. Ice cream tasted chalky. We won't be back. However, the fried snickers were good!*editing since I can't reply to the owner's comment*Although it was nice she gave us 2 free scoops, the ice cream still tasted chalky! Also, (again, nice of the employee for giving 2 free scoops BUT) my 6 year old made a HUGE mess because he couldn't eat all of that and it made it so we had to go straight home to cleanup because when we asked for Napkins, we got like 2 tissue paper thin napkins. I LOVE giving 5 star reviews, I truly do. But yall were out of most of the stuff we went there for and then what we got tasted weird (aside from the snickers!) I hope to give yall a second chance, and when I do, I will happily change my review. But maybe lay off the snarky replies..it's not helpful to you or your future/current customers.

This place is really nice, very colorful and I completely understand the concept. My boys love this place, the funnel cake was really good, it was just perfect and the deep fried Snickers and Twix was also perfect and very fulfilling. No complaints, the lady wrote down the order then prepared it, price was reasonable and the music was soft and not loud. The lady was very nice with a pleasant voice and we do plan on coming back on a regular. Really great spot.

Walking in, the door on the outside has a screen advertisement so you can't see inside. Once inside there are two menu boards but no one to greet you. There was a one-way mirrored order window that was closed and a bell to ring for service. We rang for service and it took awhile for the window to open. The window opened, the lady took our order. We waited quite awhile for the funnel cakes and they got my order wrong. I didn't feel like ringing the bell and waiting for another one so I just ate it. The funnel cake was also too thick for me and missing the crunchy throughout funnel cake taste. This place could be so much more. I feel it is missing a personal and welcoming feeling.

The three of us went here for dinner on a Friday night. There were only 4 tables seated inside, so we were glad we beat the rush, and expected service to be good. It wasn't. After receiving menus promptly, we sat. And sat. 15 minutes later, our waitress finally came over and took our drink order. My husband ordered a beer flight, but two of his choices were not available. It took 10 minutes for all three beers to arrive. I ordered a "Summertime Sangria." When it arrived, I was surprised to see there was no garnish of any sort.....just ice in the cup and liquid. I ordered the Hackbraten, based on a glowing review that I had read online. Big mistake....how do you screw up meatloaf? By not seasoning it, by serving it with a tasteless brown slime called gravy, by not tenderizing it by adding eggs and bread crumbs. The only worse thing at the table was the potato salad served on the side - I'm German, and I've had hot, tangy German potato salad. This crap was ice cold, bland, and watery. We ordered an appetizer of Baked Brie, listed on the menu for $13 and with a beautiful photo of a good-sized round of Brie, generously topped with cranberries and nuts. What we got was a 3" round of Brie, with a light dab of topping, served with extremely dry, extremely thin, extremely small slices of bread, and also some thin slices of apple. Adding insult to injury was when the bill came, we were charged $15 for the Brie, not $13 as listed on the menu. I know prices are going up these days, but we should have been told the menu price was not accurate when we ordered it. There are many much better options in the Village.....pick any one of them and you will be better off. Very disappointing.

Village Bier Garten Restaurant- Cocoa Village, FL- 4.25 Stars After a few Italian-American joints came up in a row on my name generator I was hoping for something different to sample today. Low and behold if the Village Bier Garten in Cocoa Village, FL didn't pop up in the window. “Oh, well,” I thought as I put the Big Boy Mobile in gear, another hope dashed by the randomness of life. Truthfully, I am sick of all the crappy Italian food in this county. I found the Village Bier Garten in the very heart of quaint Cocoa Village, FL. It is very tastefully decorated with homage to the German roots of the owner, Troy Winfred von Stephan, a third-generation German-American. After being shown a table and handed a bill of fare, I began to peruse said menu. With a name like Village Bier Garten, you know they had an ample selection of bier from which to wet your whistle. As I am on the wagon, I did not partake; however, they do have quite a variety on the menu. As I was pondering the entrees, I locked eyes with an approaching person, she stopped and introduced herself as Hannah and informed me she was to be my waitress today and wondered if I was ready to order. I asked Hannah for my German food barometer of Wiener Schnitzel and an order of Hackbraten. Relaxing while waiting for my food, I again took in my surroundings. Approving the décor, the location and the all-around welcoming feel of the place, I was interrupted by Hannah returning with my order. Hannah is very congenial, professional and at the top of her game. Certainly no complaints with the wait staff or service. Filling my meat hooks with the provided utensils, I readied myself to get to work. Everything certainly did look appealing and was plated with aplomb. I found the Wiener Schnitzel to be breaded abundantly and obviously by hand. The pork was pounded to a perfect thickness and it was a delight to smack. The side of potato salad was exceedingly flavorful and I would almost swear it was made fresh to order. Moving on to the Hackbraten. Hackbraten, for those not in the know, is the German equivalent of Meatloaf. After one bite all I can say is that this is NOT your mom's meatloaf nor a Swanson's TV Dinner. This is very good. Such a complex meld of flavors came together in a glorious cascade of finesse across my taste buds. Not only was it flavorful, but had the perfect firmness a meatloaf should have and was cooked spot on. What the what? The accompanying Spaetzle was superlatively seasoned. Seasoning is the key here and the chef hit this one over the fence. The Big Boy says, “If your hankering for some Authentic, delicious German food make a beeline for the Village Bier Garten in Cocoa Village!”

Sat at the bar and service was not very good. Ordered the pork schnitzel which was definitely not fresh.. probably frozen and then heated up.

Oh my where do I start…the place has potential, but in need of a serious do-over as far as interior goes,..what a disaster..we sat down ordered our drinks, then we ordered our food, the waitress came back and said they were out of the dish we ordered,,keeping in mind there were four of us ordering different items so we ordered something else..same story, then again same story..she had the manager come and talk with us and said their refrigerator quit and they had to toss everything..why they didn’t tell us that when we sat down I have no idea..it seemed an odd story..hardly anyone was in the place….we paid for oil drinks and left. You would think they would have told us when we sat down they had no food! A waste of time! And the Pinot, was flat.
