Bar Louie - Coconut Creek

I used to like coming here, but the last few times were a poor service experience. The place was not busy, but service was poor. The bartenders did everything to ignore us and we had to interrupt them for service. Too bad.

I'll be completely transparent: my first two experiences at this restaurant & bar in Coconut Creek were... not the best. Because of that, I honestly didn't plan on returning. But a close friend insisted I give it one more chance, saying sometimes a third visit really can change your perspective. I went in hopeful but cautious, figuring maybe this time would be different. I'm genuinely happy to say, it absolutely was. From the moment we were seated, the service was on a completely different level. Our waitress was extremely attentive, checking on us multiple times without being overbearing and making sure we had everything we needed. She took the time to explain menu items, gave thoughtful food recommendations, and really made us feel welcomed and cared for. The attention to detail alone already made this visit stand out from the previous ones. What truly impressed me was when she went the extra mile and brought Chef Omar out to our table. He personally introduced himself and offered his recommendations on their best dishes, which added such a special and personal touch to the experience. You can tell he genuinely cares about the food and the guests' experience. I ended up ordering the steak and fries, and wow. This dish completely changed my opinion of the kitchen. The steak was cooked beautifully, incredibly flavorful, tender, and well seasoned, with a richness that didn't require anything extra. The fries were just as impressive. They were crispy, tossed in truffle oil, and paired with a creamy aïoli sauce that tied everything together perfectly. The flavors complemented each other so well that every bite felt indulgent without being overwhelming. My friend ordered the salmon, and she couldn't stop raving about it. She said it was cooked to perfection, flaky, moist, and seasoned exactly to her liking. It was simple, clean, and delicious. This third visit completely changed my perspective.

Omg I really enjoyed the vibe ! The party area on the side is everything . I consider it to be very private away from everything and all the moving and shaking ‘ ‘ Our server( Lila ) was the very best very friendly and  attentive to our party of 20 people ! We've had at least 5 parties here ‘ it's the very best for a laid back bar vibe ‘ and not to much action !! I love this place ❤️

The only thing that I can knock having ate here 6 months ago and once more last night, your burger meat isn’t that flavorful once you get past the toppings the meat itself seems to be missing kinda bland maybe add some ground cumin & maybe a bit of salt. Kinda disappointed

We stopped by for the Tuesday special. We enjoyed sitting outside and the burgers were fabulous! The tater tots were crisp and fun!

My recent visit with a companion was intended for a relaxing experience; however, the service quality was exceptionally poor. The waitstaff exhibited minimal engagement, and we experienced a significant delay in receiving menus. Upon ordering, our food was delivered without accompanying utensils or napkins, necessitating a separate request from an internal staff member. The server simply presented the dishes and departed without further interaction. Following our meal, we endured a wait exceeding 15 minutes before locating a staff member to process our payment. As this was our inaugural visit, it will unequivocally be our last.

I want to do a rewind here. Im thinking of how cool it was 3 years ago. As if the last year, the service here is horrible. It's not personal. It's a fact. You can not go in there and expect quick or timely service. Ever. Everytime I see the place I get excited and want to go in and everytime I leave mad.

Zach is an outstanding chef, every time I come to Bar Louie he makes me great food and always pays attention to what should and shouldn’t be on my plate, I can tell he really loves cooking and puts a lot of effort into his meals!

Can’t even get food if under 21 past certain time. Service was terrible, host smiled and laughed us out after asking if we were 21 and was overall very condescending.

I don't really know where to start but this place is terrible. The service is appalling..the bartenders don't want to serve people, they are so miserable and angry it's like the definition of scrooge in real life. You stand at the bar and wait and wait for them to be ready to serve you they pretend to do everything else first [they are not busy cleaning bc every empty table sits with dirty dishes for like ever...] but yea not friendly, not good food, no ambiance, no music , no personality at the bar. I love the idea of the promenade but hopefully the city can intervene to add NEW places worth patronizing.

Liza was amazing!!! She was consistently checking in on us and getting everything out so fast. I would give her service 10 stars if I could!!!
