Had an excellent lunch there today - 3 of us ate a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich (delicious), a Rueben (very good) and a corned beef sandwich (delicious and big - only ate half and took the other half home). Also a potato latke for each of us. Good, friendly service. If it weren't so far from where we live, I'd go there frequently.
I just ate lunch at Van Horne Bagel & Deli. I had half of a pastrami sandwich and matza ball chicken soup. The pastrami was from Carnegie Deli in NY. Absolutely delicious. Big bowl of tasty soup. They got rid of serving on paper plates and now have regular silverware and dishes. Everything was great. Good prices and great food. I will definitely be back.

If you order your bagel "not toasted" like I do this is not the place for you. Cashier looked at me funny when I said "not toasted". A South FL bagel place should at the very least have fresh bagels at room temp. Chewy and delicious when not toasted (room temp at 10:45am on a Sat if they make in house).
