We ate at American Kitchen at the Loews Hotel in Coral Gables today and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. I ordered the egg white scramble, expecting something along the lines of an omelette, but what arrived was basically a piece of toast with a small amount of egg on top. The portion was so tiny that we were still hungry afterward.

We decided to try the guava pancakes, hoping for something vibrant and unique with fresh fruit on top. Instead, the presentation was extremely plain, the pancakes themselves were burnt, and there were no fruits or creative touches — honestly, I could have made something better at home.

For the price point (we spent over $120 for just a few meals), the quality, portions, and presentation were nowhere near what I’d expect. Very underwhelming overall, and I would not return given the cost versus value.

My dining experience at the Americana Kitchen and Bar was exceptional. The venue itself is beautiful, with high ceilings, well-spaced tables, and a pleasantly low noise level that allows for easy conversation. The open kitchen adds to the sophisticated atmosphere, but what truly elevated our evening was the service. Our server, Jordan, was incredibly attentive and friendly, providing a five-star experience that made the entire night unforgettable.

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant! Apart from being situated in a beautiful hotel like The Loews, the restaurant itself has a modern but posh ambiance.

• - Everything was exquisite! Chef David is an absolute gem & incredibly talented. I highly recommend the scallops, salmon, steak, old fashioned, espresso martini & s’mores dessert.
• - I was blown away by how well we were treated. The manager, Nicola, is beyond professional and works so hard on ensuring everyone’s experience is a positive one. Additionally, our waiter, Daniel, was incredible! He provided the best recommendations, treated us with so much care & was such a genuine person.

• - A modern, chic but also upscale & upbeat restaurant. Such a great spot for a date night, night out with friends, or a solo date.

Just want to start with a big shout out to our waiter Daniele and staff of Americana kitchen. We tried the miami spice menu. Nothing less then spectacular. From the presentation of the food to the first bite, the flavors exploded in my mouth. I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you Chef David for the chance to enjoy your talent.

It was a wonderful experience at Loewes hotel. Nikola the manager and server Daniel went above and beyond to give us 5 star service.

Having a bad day? Stop at the Americana, they will turn your day around with their service. So incredibly polite, they truly care about providing you with world class service. It’s really special. Most places in Coral Gables and surrounding areas add an 18% service charge. Can’t say I have ever needed or wanted to argue it. I always add more, especially at Americana.

I loved this experience so much more than I expected. The service was excellent and the food was very tasty. I had the oysters, tuna sushi roll, and the tropical panna cotta for dessert. Everything was delicious!!

This place is not what you expect from a Coral Gables restaurant … the service is extremely slow … the food took 40 minutes to arrive and it was cold …. We saw our drink in the bar and the waitress did not bring them …. The service here is a joke …. Only brunch menu on Saturdays and not a lot of options and everything overpriced … my recommendation go somewhere else …. Not good

Hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. Americana Kitchen at the Loews Coral Gables Hotel absolutely blew us away. From the moment we sat down, everything was spot-on — the atmosphere, the service, and most importantly, the food.
Chef David’s culinary expertise truly shined through in every dish. Each bite was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully crafted. You can tell there’s real passion behind the food coming out of that kitchen.
Our server, Daniel, was equally impressive — warm, professional, and incredibly attentive without being overbearing. He anticipated everything we needed and made sure our meal was seamless from start to finish. He truly went above and beyond, and his service elevated the entire experience.
Our favorite dishes of the evening were the Mediterranean salad, the empanadas, and the tri-tip. Every dish was delicous!!!!
If you're staying at Loews or just in the Coral Gables area, do not miss a chance to eat here. We’ll absolutely be back — this is a new favorite!

Expensive menu. Loud inside. I ordered the salmon to top a salad, and it was really fishy and I will not eat it again. Do not recommend. The apps were OK. The brussel sprouts were yummy. Our server was great.
