Absolutely incredible—I don’t even know where to start! I came in Friday for lunch with two colleagues, and we were all blown away. The service, the food, and even the prices are unmatched—almost too good to be true.
I ordered the Black Tonkatsu, which was marvelous. The egg was perfectly soft and yolky, just how I love it. I also tried the gyoza (good, though nothing special), but the spicy mayo onigiri was remarkable. One bite and I felt transported back to a chilly Friday night in a little alleyway in Japan—pure nostalgia. This food is authentic, and it shows.
They even offer shaved ice! Sadly, I didn’t have the space (or time) to try it this visit, but there will definitely be a next time, and I’ll be saving room.
The vibe and aesthetic of the restaurant are small, cozy, and authentically Japanese. Service was just as outstanding—Marco was fantastic and made the experience even better.
Can’t recommend this place enough!

Anaba is my favorite sushi restaurant to go to in Miami whenever I am looking for traditional style sushi in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The first time I went to Anaba was right after I came back from a trip to Osaka Japan and the quality and style of salmon sushi reminded me of all the best dishes I had on my trip. I would highly recommend trying this spot the next time you are in coral gables or the Miami area to experience authentic and traditional style Japanese sushi. The owner and staff are all extremely friendly and are truly dedicated to creating an authentic experience.

My friend came into Miami and we went to a local spot in Coral Gables called ANABA. Everything was delicious and the service was amazing! Manami-San and chef did a great job and my friend really enjoyed the food too. We had 4 nigiri; scallop, chutoro, and a couple rolls. The ramen was the BEST I had in Miami! I had a small dish of roe which was unique and rare in Miami. I'll post the exact name soon! I wish i took photos. Thank you!!!

The food was excellent, everything tasted great and fresh. The service was really fast and friendly and also the owner, the waitress and guys making food were really nice. The restaurant was cute and clean and in a nice area of Coral Gables that has public parking and street parking close by. There is also a good sidewalk to explore the area.

Everything about this place was phenomenal. It was homey, inviting, the prices were amazing and I felt like I was back in Japan when eating the food. Not overpriced like a lot of places in Coral Gables. Ask for Mana when you’re there! She’s an amazing server and will take care of you!

Great sushi place with an amazing Onigiri bento box. It will fill you up and it's delicious. I would recommend the spicy tuna and tenmusu Onigiri. The bento box also comes with scrumptious yakitori skewers and edamame. The service was great as well with our server being attentive and friendly.

Great variety in omakase options, from lunch at $25 to full service at $75. The ramen is
AWESOME and every fish is fresh. Great uni today.

The sake list is short, but everything you need. The seating is limited, but come Saturday for lunch and you'll be good.

Our picky eaters were even happy!

Overall it was very good, the food was good, and the Japanese chef had a good attitude.
The only biggest downside was that the female waitress was very rude and impolite, she never used polite words, wore sportswear to work, never said thank you even when we were polite to her, and made all kinds of disturbing noises when serving and clearing away dishes. We feel sad that such rude and disrespectful people are not suitable to work in a Japanese restaurant.
We hope that by strengthening staff training, the restaurant’s quality can be improved and more customers can be brought in, rather than having the restaurant’s standards affected by one employee.
