Found this place through ChatGPT and wow, what a great find. The food at Arcano – Sabores de Esencia Hispana was seriously good. The chicharrones were super crispy and flavorful, and the entraña was cooked perfectly — super tender and juicy. Everything came out looking great too — the way they plate the food really makes it feel special without being fancy or pretentious. The vibe was chill but still nice enough for a dinner with my boss.

To enjoy the Miami Spice season while searching for a nice restaurant to catch up with a friend, I came across this gem. Nothing here is ordinary.
The setting is modern chic with a twist of latin roots. Our server Pablo was warm, friendly and well informed on menu choices, pairings etc. The service was timely, but not rushed.
To start, I was going to have my staple glass of cabernet, but Pablo saw me perusing the specialty cocktail menu and recommended the Hoja Santa, a smooth burst of warm, woodsy wonderful. A definite do over. I followed that with the Corbina Ceviche and Pargo Caribeño. The Ceviche was incredible. The pan seared red snapper with achiote lime paired with rice with pineapple and coconut was a perfect pair. I generally do not enjoy mixing my food with sweet flavors but I have to say the chef managed to make it subtle enough to not overpower the other flavors. I closed off with a tres leches with almond essence, also a must have.
I will most definitely return.

Went for Miami spice and absolutely loved it! The staff were friendly and went above and beyond We notified our server of a gluten allergy, and he was especially careful and knowledgeable when we ordered. The food was delicious and a great portion for the price.

Impressive restaurant. I wish I had found it earlier. I’ll be back more than once. Service is great and the food is a bang for your buck.

The tostones were crisp and addictive, perfect to start. The guacamole ahumado had a smoky kick with cocoa bread that surprised me in the best way. The pato con mole was rich and layered, the duck seared beautifully. The pargo caribeño was fresh, flaky, and paired with tropical aioli that made the whole dish sing.

What makes it even better is the atmosphere. On the first Wednesday of each month they celebrate a different Latin country with food, music, and dance. Plus, happy hour kicks off at 5pm, which seals the deal.

Delicious and impeccably prepared. Through the end of September, they are offering Miami Spice three-course specials. For lunch, I highly recommend starting with the ceviche, followed by the perfectly cooked steak, and finishing with the luscious tres leches dessert. The owner and staff are warm, friendly, and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. A delightful new addition to Coral Gables.

Decided to try Arcano during Miami Spice since they just opened four months ago. The menu did differ slightly from the one listed by Miami Spice 2025 but nothing major. Service and atmosphere were impeccable staff were very accommodating and interested in the food served. The tres leches was excellent as were the shrimp croquetes.
The cochinillo empanadas were over cooked and very hard exterior but very tasty inside. The churrasco steak was tough and potatoes were undercooked as well. However still promising good future if they handle the not so perfect food items.

We had a fantastic experience at Arcano, again! I recently took colleagues from work who were visiting from NY and MA and they loved it. They raved about the flavors and the impecable service. We tried the Miami Spice menu which was a hit. We ordered the guacamole ahormado to start plus some amazing pork belly, the seafood rice and the steak for entrees, and tres leches for dessert. The wine was amazing— we split a few bottles of Albarino and Malbec which were amazing. All around amazing experience and great value!

Randomly stopped in here and it was great. Happy hour plates were good and not your typical restaurant where you know most things came out of a frozen bag.

Lamb empanadas and guac had their own unique flavors and were good. Mocktail was great as well.

Desert stole the show and topped things off nicely. Highly recommend the banana bread.

Also note their serving sizes were great. If you like Cheesecake Factory portions this may not be for you.

Bathrooms were not dirty but they were not fresh either. An opportunity for improvement.

Arcano - Flavors of Hispanic Essence is a hidden gem I discovered thanks to Taste of the Gables. Their three course special was amazing. We had lamb empanadas and shrimp croquettes with the Corvina and Shrimp Arroz Imperial as mains. The tres leches and the dark chocolate mouse were sublime. Service was great, but gringos, make sure to bring your Spanish language skills!

We had the pleasure of dining at Arcano and from start to finish, it was an incredible experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a perfect blend of rustic charm and elegance. The staff was genuinely friendly and attentive, making us feel welcomed throughout the evening.

We started with the Chicharrón con Tortillas — an absolute standout appetizer. The chicharrón was perfectly crisped, and the creamy avocado was the perfect complement. Truly delicious.

For our mains, my wife had the Churrasco a la Parrilla, which was juicy, flavorful, and grilled to perfection. I ordered the Cordero en su Salsa, and it stole the show. It’s easily the best lamb I’ve ever had — incredibly tender, rich in flavor, and so soft it melted in my mouth.

What made the experience even more special was the opportunity to chat with the chef. He shared how the cordero is slow-cooked for about 8 hours, walking us through the care and detail that goes into the preparation. That personal touch made an already amazing meal even more memorable.

Arcano nailed it across the board — from the atmosphere and service to the outstanding food and hospitality. We’ll absolutely be coming back!
Pablo was our server and Gilberto the great chef !! Didn’t get the names of the rest of the staff but definitely all super friendly and knowledgeable
