I had a disappointing experience at Benihanas recently. My party and I waited a whopping two hours for our food to arrive, and when we inquired about the delay, we were told by the host that our order had been ready for 45 minutes. After speaking with the manager, she informed us that she did not have the check, further adding to our frustration.
I would caution anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion to steer clear of Benihanas until they can sort out these glaring issues with their service. It's a shame because the food is usually quite good, but the ridiculous wait times and lack of communication truly marred our dining experience. I took the time I contacted them.They never followed up like I said, stay away . Today is 2/18/26 and they still have not replied. The email our customer service is nothing but lip service

I normally go to Samurai, decided to try somewhere new. It was my daughter’s bday. Service was slow. I kept having to ask what is taking so long for everything. Even the habachi chef was slow 3 hours later just waiting for our check was even long we had to get up and walk to someone just to pay. Won’t come back. You would think being in Coral Gables it would have been a better experience.

Despite it being Valentine’s Day and incredibly busy, Diego and Chef Alberto gave us 10/10 service. Even with the restaurant packed for the holiday, the hostess and the rest of the staff did the absolute best they could to help everyone.
Diego was attentive, kind, and kept us informed if anything was going to be a bit of a wait. He made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us often.
Chef Alberto was friendly and engaging, performed fun tricks while cooking, and the food was absolutely amazing. Thank you both for making our night so enjoyable!

I came here for a valentines date dinner and it was amazing. I had a little bit of a wait. But, once I was sat me and my boyfriend had an amazing time. Thank you Diego for making our night special.
9:15 reservation. Told us it’d be 45 mins. Came back an hour later. Told us it’d be 20 mins. 20 mins later they told us it’d be at least another hour. What a joke.

I had a reservation for 7:45 pm and last time I asked how long I have to keep waiting,it was at 9.20 and they told me I have to wait another 45 minutes. Why you keep taking reservation when you're already over booked? Removing this place from my list. Worse experience ever.

Had a reservation for 7:00 PM. Got here at 6:45 PM. It is currently 7:38 PM and it seems there are many people to be called before me and my girlfriend. This place is packed, shoulder to shoulder. I understand that it’s Valentine’s Day but a reservation doesn’t usually mean you have to wait a couple hours after your reservation. Customers are angry and complaining, some of them already waiting an hour and a half. My legs hurt due to walking all day and now I gotta stand here until further notice.
Edit: they finally sat us down at 8:15 PM. It is currently 8:45 PM and they haven’t even brought out the water I asked for back then. Not sure when the food will start getting here could be another hour. I am leaving this detailed review to let you know: at least for valentines…not even one person should come here. It’s a mess.
