“I’d seen the sign at a nearby strip mall and tried it yesterday for the first time. The pizzas are Cuban style dinner- plate size with a savory crust that is not too thin or too thick and many toppings to choose from. The service is perfect and the owner came out and spoke to us and we pleasantly discovered that his restaurants are named for a once important and productive sugar plantation (Central Zaza) of his native region of Cuba. I’ll be returning and shall recommend this place to others.“

“We were actually seated next to the couple who left this review (Lea Haber) and it’s important to add some context. They complained almost the entire time they were there—starting when they ordered chicken, then insisting they hadn’t ordered it once it arrived. My oat pancakes were incredible and came with fresh fruit. As with any fresh fruit, there’s always a chance of a single berry being off, and that was the one thing they chose to fixate on. They also loudly complained about the tables near the door being a “fire hazard” and even said the restaurant shouldn’t exist.

“I took my mom here for ice cream on a random afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised by its prices and just old school charm. We had soft serve in cones nothing fancy but just as effective (and very affordable) on a hot Miami day. We sat outside (they only have outdoor seating) on one of their little picnic tables and enjoyed people watching. All in all, I'm so happy a little place still like this still exists in Miami.“

“I just got back from vacation and needed some real food. I knew there was a new cafe by the area and decided to try it.Food: I had the lechon asado with rice , red beans And plantains. It was phenomenal , delicious and fresh. I can't wait to try more from their menu.Atmosphere: it is small but very welcoming , clean , nice and comfortable. To make it better they had playing jazz music. For me sometimes going to eat somewhere to eat and I hear the radio or whatever they're and it becomes repetitive. After, the quarantine and still carrying around these extra pounds we decided to give Slim Tastes another go! So far the food has been amazing!
