My friend is gluten free so we looked for a place to eat that could accommodate her diet restrictions. It just so happened that Dora's is only a few doors down from Sweet Melody's, another place we wanted to visit so win/win.

Dora's Bakery & Bistro was inspired by the owners grandmother Dora Milan. Dora developed gluten free recipes that helped her feel better. At Dora's Bakery and Bistro cofounder Ana Crolla has expanded on her husbands grandmother's recipes, creating a full menu of gluten free food and desserts.

While I am not gluten free I am up for pretty much anything and I find that gluten free also tends to align with my weight loss goals so I was game to try them. They actually have a free parking lot in the back which is like finding a unicorn in Miami so that was a plus even though it took me three times to find the tiny alley entrance. My friend and I arrived a little before 5 and we were the only ones in the cafe. The menu features burgers, sandwiches, breakfast, chicken tenders, small bites, pizza, quiche, salads, pasta, cakes, pastries, bread, pies, and desserts. You can order at the counter from the menu but they also have a cooler of food you can heat at home plus cold desserts.

Dora's is small but cute. We sat ourselves at the only table available which was next to the hot window. I had the small ham and cheese quiche. With a water and tip it was close to $20. My friend ordered the chicken tenders that were coated in tapioca. TBH they looked very thin and dried out. My quiche was ok but the crust was drier than a desert. I had a gluten free pizza somewhere else recently that could have made me happily give up traditional dough but the quiche crust at Dora's had me longing for the flaky, buttery kind. I had to take a swig of water after every bite to get it down but the filling was tasty. After the quiche I passed on the desserts in favor of Sweet Melody's but my friend bought a few things and they looked good.

If you have celiac disease Dora's is a real find for croquetas, cookies brownies, cake pops and fresh-baked pizzas. It also caters to a variety of dietary needs, offering vegan, dairy-free and organic options. However as someone who can tolerate gluten, I personally found the food was not up to par for what they charge. Still I was happy that my friend was able to eat comfortably.

I was so excited to see a gluten free dedicated place down here and have had it marked on DoorDash in anticipation for my trip to Miami for weeks. For lunch today, I ordered the chicken tenders, fries, onion rings, and a cinnamon roll (for later) and was honestly so disappointed - especially for the price paid. The chicken tenders were very thin and dry with not much flavor. The sweet potato fries were very bland with no seasonings or salt. The onion rings were squishy, not crispy and also had no seasonings. The cinnamon roll was decent though. Everything was just so soggy and bland. Maybe having it DoorDashed was the problem. Everything came in plastic and just trapped the steam from the food? I hope to give it another try.

45 minutes drive to learn, that the bakery didn’t sell any kind of bread until noon. Opens at 8:00 and has no bread for a breakfast at home? Not even any frozen bread?! Just call yourself Dora’s cake and frozen food, not bakery!!!!

Really enjoyed our surprise visit to Dora's. The gluten free bread was excellent, the burger and fried chicken were great.

We made a quick stop for some goodies on the way back to the airport to fly home. We grabbed lemon pound cake, a chocolate chunk cookie and a red velvet cupcake. All wonderful!

Dora’s was a wonderful final stop for our FL trip before flying out of Miami. We ordered a chicken empanada, croqueta preparada, chicken parmesan sandwich, mozzarella sticks, and an M&M cookie. Everything was delicious! There was one other family eating in the store, and it did feel a bit crowded, but the food was delicious and service superb!

We are from out of state and found this restaurant. Having to eat completely gf is hard, especially when a new area you don’t know what anything will be like. This place was fantastic. We all ordered different things and was delighted with all of it! Great place.

The food was excellent, especially the quiche and empanada. The store is in a bit of a weird neighborhood and there isn't a lot if seating.

More of a grab and go kind of place.

Visited Dora’s for the first time today, I was a disappointed with the selection of dairy free options. Only 3 non frozen options that were dairy free/vegan. I got all 3, a peanut butter cookie, banana bread, and chocolate truffle. The chocolate truffle was truly terrible unfortunately, the banana bread and cookie were very mid and not something I would want again. Overall, I have definitely had better gluten free baked goods in Miami, so I wouldn’t come back. It was also a bit overpriced in my opinion - $21 for 3 items ($13 banana bread, $4 cookie, $3 truffle).

Dietary restrictions: Limited fresh baked good that were dairy free/vegan.
