I was really looking forward to dining at Fontana, but the experience was extremely disappointing. The food came out cold, lacked flavor, and the overall service didn't make up for it. For such a well-known hotel, I expected a much higher standard. Unfortunately, nothing about the meal or the atmosphere stood out in a positive way, definitely not worth the price or the reputation.

The venue is spectacular: on a garden patio at the extraordinary, historic Biltmore Hotel. Old school tunes (sinatra, bossa nova) playing. Romantic and lovely. The menu looked fabulous but the actual food was somewhat lacking. The mushroom risotto tasted a little soapy, the Chilean seabass was overly seasoned; the truffle mashed potatoes and the tuna tartar were good. The "eggplant parmasan ravioli" was just decent ravioli - nothing special. Blanco tequila specialty cocktail was good. Our waiter said the menu was relatively new- hoping for improvements. Will try again

Beautiful setting for light supper before theater. Our server was excellent, and service fast. Food very good.

Great food, very pleasant experience. I do not like that a 20% gratuity is forced on you and automatically included. A gratuity is always discretionary and earned based on friendliness and quality of service.

The food was decent wasn't too happy, not offered the free bread so I asked about it, but the aesthetic vibe was definitely luxury

The 22% service charge automatically added to the bill was not properly disclosed. Our group gave several credit cards and the individual receipts did not mention anything about the service charge (tip) already being included. We ended up doubling up the tip without our knowledge. Customers should be made aware of this practice ahead of time in order to avoid unnecessary dissatisfaction and aggravation.

The food was delicious and the service excellent, I as surprised that even though it was a party of two tge gratuity was added on to the bill.

Elegant surroundings. Attentive and courteous staff. Food is very good but portions are small. Chef came out himself to inquire as to our satisfaction. Valet parking expensive but free parking is nearby. Great for those special occasions.

I had a wonderful experience at La Fontana. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive and welcoming — truly a pleasure from start to finish. The only thing I found missing was music in the outdoor area, which would have added even more to the ambiance. Overall, a very enjoyable visit. I look forward to coming back again soon!

This restaurant needs to communicate with Open Table that it will not accept Open Table rewards cards per the message I just received from it's GM Alberto Huerta: "The only form of payment or credit we are able to honor is a Biltmore-issued gift card." Then opt out of the Open Table rewards card program Alberto! It's not like Open Table just ASSUMED you would honor its rewards card. I have lost my reward because of your miscommunication / lack of understanding of the program that you clearly ARE participating in per Open Table's website. Other than that mandatory gratuity of 20% is unwarranted and not posted. Staff's english is poor and they are arrogant (evidently it starts at the top) despite being a hotel restaurant. Which is kind of funny / surreal actually given there are dozens of better options within a ten mile radius and hotel rooms are not inexpensive. Food is typical hotel food, inside looks like a cafeteria. The covered outside dining is a nice option on a bad-weather evening or if you check-in to the hotel late and don't want to Uber back out given the hotel is a little bit out of the way.

Wonderful 'Miami Spice' evening out. We ordered different appetizers, entrees and desserts so that we could try a little of everything and was not disappointed. Our server, Matthew, was very gracious, helpful with recommendations and attentive. The noise level was extremely high as one large table was very loud, but I'm guessing that maybe unusual. It's been quite a while since we have visited Fontana but will not wait so long to be back. All in all, a beautiful evening with delicious food, and great service.

Skip the restaurant. The quality of service does not match the hotel. When i checked in for my reservation on time, i was told we would have to wait because they are "booked up". Got seated 20 minutes later and was told by the waiter that the kitchen is closing in 10 minutes. They didn't even attempt to seat us in the location that was selected on the reservation. We had to ask to be moved out of the horrible kitchen area that was really outdated, too bright and extremely loud. The food was fine, but not memorable. Won't be going back. Save time and money by grabbing a drink at the bar and exploring the historic hotel.
