I haven't left a review in a long time but I had too after leaving this restaurant. The place is not as big and there were some empty tables so it wasn't at full capacity. We order the onion soup and bone marrow to start. It took 15 minutes to bring bread (which was cold and tasteless) then we waiting 50 minutes to get the appetizers. We noticed how the tables around us got appetizers, entree and dessert and we were still waiting for just soups. The waiters keep telling us 2 minutes every 15 minutes until 50 minutes passed and finally got the soups. The cheese was horrible, the broth tastes it like pure melted butter and to top it off wasn't even hot. Then the bone marrow was cut in 4 little pieces instead of just two long pieces. Never had seen bone marrow presented this way which was extremely hard to take out to eat. We took not even half of a teaspoon all together from the 4 pieces and half was just pure sea salt. Too expensive and not worth the $24. Then we finally got our entree the filet and the steak fritters. The filet was okay. The potatoes tasteless and the salad had a little dressing that was tasteless too. The steak was just as hard as a rock and it was medium. I could barely cut it with the steak knife. I ate two pieces and the taste was horrible like low grade meat - the most hard medium steak I have ever had. The salad had no dressing at all zero. I waited for any of the waiters to come and ask us how was everything but none never came so I couldn't even ask for dressing to at least eat the salad. I wanted to let him know I couldn't eat the steak but he never came. When he finally came to take the plates he saw I didn't ate anything ( same as the soup) but never even once asked us how was the food or everything he just proceeded to bring us the check. $220 for the worst food I have had in Miami in 20 years. We felt completely stolen with this type of service and food. We eat out every Friday, Saturday and Sunday and we try our best to try new restaurants every time but this was NOT worth it.

Frenchie's goes beyond fine French dining to a perfection. The atmosphere is cosy and comforting as if you are actually dining in France. Open for lunch and dinner friends, my wife, and self enjoyed the dinner scene outside. Service was excellent and attentive. My wife had the pork chop with salad garnish and I had the Duck Confit also with a salad garnish accompanied with a bold Cabernet Sauvignon. Frenchie's is perfect for any occasion.

We've been eating at Frenchie's for years - - probably since around the time it opened. Usually, it's pretty good: the food is good-to-really good, and the ambience of the place is pleasant enough. Recently, we had just a terrible time: the place was packed and loud; the service was horrid (it looked as though the place was way understaffed); our "server" (the neutered term for "waiter") was just terrible; it took 'bout forever for the food to be cooked and arrive (c'mon: roast chicken? It's one of their standards. They must have two dozen waiting to be readied), and at one point, after waiting for fully fifteen (yeah, 15) minutes to try to get the guy's attention, we had to use a flashlight on the phone - - and that still didn't work. And this: on the way out, we stopped to say something to one of the primary "Frenchies" (maybe, THE Frenchie) about it all, and he cut us off (literally during the first sentence) and said: "Complaints? I won't hear complaints. I won't listen to them. No complaints!," and scurried off like a - - well, you know.

Decent French joint. Price point is a bit extreme for some menu items. Wine list could be expanded. Service was efficient and pleasant enough. Quaint ambiance, dimly lit, nice evening hang-out. Has unrealized potential.

I expected much more for the flavor of the onion soup, it lacked power and I found it very sweet.

From the moment you step into Frenchies in Miami, the warm and welcoming atmosphere is as palpable as the garlic in their escargot. The owners, with hearts as generous as their portions, graciously accommodated us even at the last minute, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. Starter: Frenchies' escargot is a whimsical journey, with each delicate snail bathed in garlic-herb butter, creating a celestial start that feels like a hug for your taste buds. Main Course 1: The duck confit at Frenchies is more than just a dish; it's a slow-cooked symphony with portions that could make a peckish penguin proud. The crispy golden skin adds a delightful crunch, giving your palate a standing ovation. Main Course 2: The beef tartare at Frenchies is a work of art, like Picasso decided to try his hand at food. Finely minced beef, capers, and a raw yolk on top - it's so good you'll want to write a sonnet, or at least a heartfelt Yelp review. Main Course 3: Now, the steak and frites - the steak's searing and seasoning are so expertly done, they should offer it as a spa treatment. And the fries? Well, they're like the comedians of the plate, always delivering a good laugh with every bite. Did you hear about the French fry that went to a comedy club? It got fried! Pairing perfectly with these culinary delights, Frenchies' excellent rosé wine is like a grapey poet, expressing itself in every sip. The Bordeaux, on the other hand, is the wise elder at the table, offering sage advice on which wine pairs best with your meaty masterpiece. And now, the grande finale - desserts! Frenchies presents the crème brûlée with lavender, a fragrant fairy tale in a ramekin, and the chocolate mousse, a velvety indulgence that'll make your sweet tooth do a happy dance. It's like a dessert symphony, conducted by your taste buds. To top it off, the service was as delightful as the dishes. The server, personable and exceptionally attentive, added a sprinkle of charm to our dining experience. Frenchies in Miami truly offers a dining haven where every detail, from atmosphere to service, is crafted with care and a dash of joie de vivre.
