We went today (a Friday night) and tried the 4-course menu that felt like a delicious explosion of flavors. The ambience and d service were top notch family vibe with nice music playing in the background. The chef brought all the plates to our table and provided a description of the main ingredients that made up each of the courses. We will definitely be back soon with all of our friends, loved the place.

Food was superb, very delicate, flavorful and balanced. Experience was extraordinary! Place is very quiet and intimate, definitely not the traditional Miami experience. 100% recommended.

It's our second time at Lion and the Rambler and we are in love with this place. They offer most creative and delicious experience! We had the 7 courses tasting menu and it was excellent from food presentation and explanation by chef to the quality and taste of dishes. Ambiance inviting and service top notch! Can't wait go back for their lunch ( it's al carte )!

10/10 recommend this place! I went with my dad who is a major foodie and we had the most amazing time. The food is incredible — Perfectly cooked with really interesting flavor combinations AND the chef came out to serve our meals and do the finishing touches to our plates. The overall vibe is also very cute and cozy; not stuffy at all. Definitely cute for a date night or a small group of friends.

This is a special place. I dined here with a group of 6 for a friend's birthday last month. We did the 7-course menu. From the welcome to the trays of desserts, this place was top-notch in food, service, and ambiance. This place is on par with any Michelin-starred restaurant, but the price isn't ridiculous. Every dish had creative flavors. The series of snacks at the beginning, the fried chicken...I wish I took pictures to remember all that we had. My only complaint is that I was too full at the end to have any more than one or two bites of dessert. I will definitely be back, but for another special event in the future. One cannot dine so decadently on a regular basis. Reading some of the mediocre reviews, I don't think they could have possibly been eating at the same restaurant. Go before they get their Michelin star, and inevitably reservations become impossible.

One of my favorite restaurants in Miami. Not about scene, not about spend, just exceptionally creative fare in a comfortable setting. Chef Bolan is always at the head of the kitchen making something delicious and his creativity and focus on quality ensure each plate is perfect. Ingredients vary based on seasonality , and bread service is among the best in town

My second visit was just as incredible as the first! This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. From the food to the ambiance, everything is perfection. Chef Bolen & his wife Angelina create a warm and welcoming environment in this intimate space, making it that much more of a special experience. The focaccia is life changing, and do not sleep on the Thursday pizza special (this was a pleasant surprise). I have tried most of the a la carte menu at this point, and everything is wonderfully inventive and packed with flavor. Some favorites include the roasted beets, maitake mushroom, steak tartare, boniato pelmeni, but really you can’t go wrong. The menu frequently changes, so every visit is equally as exciting as the last. Most importantly, do NOT skip dessert. You will never find desserts like these, and you’ll be thinking about them long after you leave. Chef Bolen is a culinary genius! Can’t wait to come back a third time.

I finally tried this restaurant a year and a half later and the only one hurting all that time was me. What a pleasant and lovely experience I was missing out on. I dined here on a Thursday night. I was told that Wednesdays and Thursdays have a limited menu and on the weekends the menu is coursed options only. I don't normally love coursed meals, but I feel like this is the place to do it because everything we tried on that Thursday night was DELICIOUS. First off, they did such a nice job with the space. It's colorful, well lit, and inviting. The wine list also has excellent options and the waitress isn't trying to force you into the most expensive items. The wait staff are cordial and helpful and the Chef is humble and sweet in his explanation of the dishes. For wine, we got the bottle of tempranillo and it was delicious. We started with the focaccia and ricotta and honey. Honestly, it was the best honey I have ever tasted. They even told me where to buy it on my own if interested. Everything is freshly sourced from local farms and it shows. We also had the steak tartare that came with the blueberry capers. Those were a little weird for me but my friend loved them. We also had those delicious scallops that I believe were poached in wagyu fat. I don't even like scallops normally but they were exquisitely prepared. For entrees we had the boniato pasta and the cod. Both were deliciously prepared and I will definitely order again. But that boniato pasta that was sort of like a tortellini filled with boniato and topped with like a foam of citrus flavors- was easily one of the best pastas I have ever eaten in my life. The dish is creative yet light but absolutely delicious. This dish belongs on the show "best thing I ever ate". For dessert, we tried the lemon dessert that was light and airy and not overly bitter or citrusy. We also got the brownie dessert that was one of the most delicious desserts I have ever tasted. My friend and I fought over not one- but two portions of that dessert. Can't wait to go back for the tasting menu and friendly service!

This weekend me and my fiancé celebrated our engagement at our favorite restaurant, Lion and the rambler! The service here is phenomenal, from the warm hostess who remembered us by name to the chef who explained every detail of each dish as it was served to us. The ambience is amazing; intimate, funky, beautiful decor and great music. This restaurant holds a special place in our heart, and to top it off the food here is incredible. We chose the 4-course tasting menu. Pictured is the thrice fried chicken, bluefin tuna tart, koginut squash croustade, spiced apple bread w/ foie gras & serrano ham, the best bread you’ll ever have, line caught cod, and the dessert featuring bonbon’s with flower shaped truffle. The attention to detail in each meal makes every bite so special. Thank you for this incredible concept, the creativity of each meal and for being a wonderful space to enjoy with loved ones!

Disappointing. Been wanting to try this place since all the buzz. Extremely underwhelming. Someone said the beats taste like straight out of a can. I agree.I think the steak tartar gave me a stomach ache short rib was bland land, and boring. Feels like they were probably on point when they first open and have slid since

I found this by accident while visiting Gables. The first thing that caught my eye was the decor so I decided to check it out. They have a curated menu that seems to change daily/weekly? Fridays and Saturdays is a fixed-price menu with a $125 and $185 selection (lots of options so don't get scared by the price).Today I only concentrated in tasting their small dishes and their wine selection (they don't have a hard liquor license) and I was blown away. Really tasty dishes and great presentation. The owner works the bar and tables. Very friendly. This is the sort of place you bring someone special. Use it wisely

Superb! Superb! Superb! A friend and I had the 4 course menu at the Lion and the Rambler, a relatively new restaurant on Ponce just south of Calle Ocho. A small restaurant but perfect for these beautiful 4 course extravaganzas. It’s a husband and wife team. The wife runs the front of the house and the husband is the creative chef. The meal started with a number of delicious amuse bouches, followed by sweet potatoes in a very thin skin and a sour orange sauce, cod with coconut bisque and a Thai basil sauce, short ribs cooked for 48 hours and then a wonderful mandarin ice cream with white chocolate and sorrel (where do you find sorrel in Miami!?). Followed by a number of smaller sweets. A very creative, innovative meal! If you have a chance try
