If I could give Luca Osteria 10 stars I would!! I first found this place from a food blogger on instagram and I am so glad I did. First thing you must make a reservation before going because there is limited seating and this place is always full. We didn't have a reservation and the hostess was so helpful to get us a spot at the bar. The manager saw that we felt very crowded at the bar so they were able to give us a table for two. Even though it's a little smaller inside, the restaurant is so beautiful and classy. We had the perfect date night. We started with a couple appetizers the patate frite and the Local Stracciattella. The patate frite was so perfectly crispy and creamy with the sharp flavor of the truffle. The creamy Stracciattella with the crispy bread was the best combo. For our entree we ordered the short rib bolognese with fresh pappardelle pasta. Now I don't usually order the bolognese, it's usually just basic flavors but I truly enjoyed this one thanks to the short ribs. My husband ordered a pasta with bucatini pasta that was delicious too. We were so full from this lovely meal but we had to try a dessert. We were recommended to ordered the Pistachio Semifreddo, it was very different. It was sweet and salty and the chocolate ganache was so perfect. One thing I really appreciated from this restaurant was the employees they were so attentive and after every single meal they cleaned and wiped down our table. I have never seen that before at any restaurant even the fanciest expensive places don't even do that for you. We can't wait to go back and try new items on the menu. And I will recommend this place to anyone that's in Coral Gables. And if you ever need anything, ask the manager JJ.

As an Italian I’m very disappointed with this restaurant. It is really uncomfortable to go there even with a reservation made a week before. There is no respect. The people in front let customers without reservations go inside and be sited while others with reservations are sited outside without any criteria. I made my reservation the old way calling them and I received a message confirming it but they made it for outside without telling me. I ended up leaving with my wife and my 3 kids to celebrate my wife’s birthday in another Italian restaurant called Portosole which I recommend 100%.

The food and service were exceptional. The lardo di colonnata appetizer (with the black truffle honey) was the star of the show. Actually, each subsequent dish was also the start of the show. The tomato based pasta was super flavorful and the vanilla panna cotta ended the night on a very high note.

I never go out for Italian food, it is always disappointing. HOWEVER, every dish I tried at Luca was 10/10. I’m so happy to have found a spot for pasta. My favorite dishes were the bread with straccietalla and black truffle honey butter, and the tiramisu. Do not skip dessert. I repeat: do not skip dessert!

We called to make a reservation the old fashioned way and when we got there apparently we were reserved outside (by them) which was never agreed upon. They made no effort to accommodate our needs nor apologized for the confusion. People without reservations were being seated inside, however, they were not “able” to accommodate us.We had to leave. Thankfully we ended up in a beautiful and delicious restaurant nearby.Never going there ever again!

Amazing experience at Luca! The drinks sneak up on you fast before you know it you will see double so take it easy! The Short Rib Bolognese is to die for! Don’t forget the baguette with olive oil for an appetizer, it hits different!

Horrible service. We went there on a rainy day. There were multiple tables inside that were empty, and they refused to give us one because they wanted to save them for those with a reservation, which is understandable. Now the problem began when every single table outside was empty and the hostess, who was very rude, sat us at the only table that was getting wet. When we asked the waiter if we could please sit at any of the other empty tables outside because ours was the only one getting wet, he immediately apologized and went to ask the hostess if we could move. He returned and said, “She already explained the situation to you, if you don’t like this table, there is nothing we can do.” Of course, we left because absolutely everything on the table was getting wet. Turns out I forgot my phone because we had to run under the rain to our car and ended up coming back about 30 minutes later. When I came back for my phone, all of the tables they refused to give us were still empty. It is a shame because it looks like a good place but with a service like that I’m not coming back anytime soon. Don’t recommend it. We ended up going to a restaurant called Limoncello in Miami Beach with amazing attention and food, which surpassed all of our expectations. If you are looking for a good pasta place go there instead.
