There’s no place in miami more welcoming, tasty and charming than Madruga Bakery! Their bread, egg sandwich, pastries, coffee and more 10/10!! The owners are so kind and accommodating even when we bring our doggie Luna. Actually, especially when we bring Luna! Their porridge is better than any in the world!

So my wife and I were there today and a bearded tattooed guy who by some inexplicable reason he has the urge to constantly say “I’m not the owner”, kicked my wife out in the rudest way possible, we have a service dog and we couldn’t even explain that we were just there to pick a cake up.

When I went back and told him it was against the law to deny access to a service dog he with a straight face completely lied about how things happened, he changed everything in a cynical manner, when my wife already upset about the terrible approach, she explained she was there to pick up a cake as today’s her birthday and he basically ruined it for her, he sarcastically told her “happy birthday”, this twisted attitude is enough to tell you what kind of person he is.

We used to be regulars there, today, a very special day as it’s my wife’s birthday was basically ruined.

Thank you anyway.

I came to pick up my birthday cake and was turned away because of my service dog even though there’s a “Service Dogs Welcome” sign outside. It was confusing and frustrating. The waiter blamed the owner, saying that it is policy but they have a sign in the door. I hope they clarify their policy and train their staff so this doesn’t happen to others.

Simply the best! You just want to order everything! There is no one thing from their menu that I don’t like. Go once, comeback and then go again…. Repeat that until you have tasted everything!

Right so…..I’m a complicated guy that likes simple things…today I was blessed. My friend recommended this place because I was close by and wanted a bite. She said the egg sandwich was great and that it’s a great spot. I believed her. I came in to a line that went out the door a touch. A gentleman was holding the door open for those waiting, I later found out his name is Larry. He asked me how I was doing with real interest, and we chatted for a second. He recommended the chori pan on special, although after telling him it’s my first time - he agreed that the egg sandwich was a great thing to try first. I ordered a cortado and a chocolate cookie as well. Leisa helped me order and she is a lovely joy to order from.

The food came out quick as did the coffee.

I sat down and spilled my coffee while putting sugar. They helped me clean it and brought me a new one without even asking…

The sandwich was exquisite. Bacon was kind of caramelized, so it had a nice bite and thickness. The egg immediately bursted, providing for a nice dip. Complete perfect sandwich. They got water on tap as well for the guests. It’s cold and that was a nice touch.

As for the flourless chocolate cookie…perfect once again.

This might be the most detailed review I’ve written, as the experience has required it of me.

Initially I was apprehensive to spend the money, as it was $23 including tip for all this. But…I knew that you get what you pay for, and now I’m ready to do some good work and continue to have a powerful day…

So thank you to the team. Especially the staff that helped clean my mess. I had a great time and had to write the review while sitting here enjoying. Cheers..until next time!

Madruga Bakery is simply fabulous! They are always busy so plan ahead and parking is limited on the street, however it's well worth the toil to experience some of the best service and food in town. Definitely A+

I bought a chocolate croissant there last weekend and found a sharp shard of plastic in it. I went back and talked to the owner about this incident. I am glad I noticed it and did not swallow the sharp piece. Very disappointing experience.

Loved loved this cafe. Baked good where delicious. We got the almond croissant, blueberry muffin and a slice of peach pie to go. We loved it. Cappuccino took me back to Italy and the egg sandwich is a must have.
Unfortunately seating is difficult because it is a small space but you can pre order and it makes it a bit easier. Great problem to have. ☕️🥐

We stopped by for a morning treat and were blown away by the quality of everything we tried. The chocolate croissant was perfectly flaky with a generous, rich chocolate center – one of the best I’ve had outside of Europe.

Their scones are buttery, slightly crisp on the outside, and just sweet enough. You can tell they’re made fresh, with care.

The avocado toast was another standout – fresh, creamy avocado on thick-cut, house-baked bread, finished with just the right seasoning and toppings. Simple but elevated.

The vibe is warm and inviting, with the smell of fresh bread in the air and a calm, neighborhood feel. Great spot for breakfast, brunch, or a quiet coffee break.

A must-visit if you’re in the area. Pro tip: Go early — popular items sell out fast!
