This place felt like a labor of love. The food was generally very tasty. Things like the fruit salad came out with all fresh, ripe fruit, almonds and dried coconut on top, with a dish of honey to the side. The fried potatoes were excellent. The pancakes looked amazing; I wish we tried one. But in spite of all this, there was also an inattention to certain important details. They seemed to be out of most of the items on the menu. Our Eggs Benedict came out overcooked with yolks hard and an imperceptibility small amount of hollandaise sauce. I asked if they could bring out more hollandaise but it never came. We will probably eat there again, but aren’t in a rush to get back there anytime soon.
