My first visit to Rodilla was in 1973 when I lived in Madrid. Like many other Spanish food chains/ purveyors they have expanded to Miami in recent years. They currently have three locations in the area. Imagine my surprised when we arrived at their Coral Gables stores around 8:45, the store opens at 8:30, to find out a limited selection of what appeared to be yesterday's croissants (6) and sandwiches. The only person in the store told us that the baker/ sandwich maker? would arrive in about one hour. Location looks great has some tables outside. But if you are going to open the store, at least you should have to fresh food to sell, no? Extremely dissapointed.

This is my go to coffee spot. I work a few blocks away and sneak away all the time for this little treat! They are also so sweet. It’s a true pleasure. Thank you Rodilla.

This is the second time I order from Rodilla with a similar quality issue. This is a $15 sandwich and I was charged an extra dollar for arugula so a $16 sandwich. This is unacceptable quality. There was barely any manchego ( and this is a tomato and Manchego sandwich ) and almost no trace of the arugula I was charged extra for. Sadly I will not be returning. I phoned on a number of occasions and no one answers the phone.

A nice choice when you're feeling pecky after your Miracle Mile retail therapy session..Wide variety of beautiful half sandwiches, coffees and baked goods.

Cold coffee. Overly sweet cookies and coffee. Pre-made tomato sauce for the bread and tomatoes. Just bad overall.

A little piece of Madrid in the Gables. A new coffee spot, the Latte is outstanding! The staff was attentive and quick, most definitely I’ll be back.

Nice place, great location. I ordered a mediterranean salad. The greens were crunchy good. However, i was underwhelmed with the topings. Some olives and tuna. Not even the dressing was memorable. Something i did noticed was the bill, $20. A bit steep for the lack of ingredients.

I ordered 2 Iberian ham baguettes and 1 piece of carrot cake for a friend and me yesterday for delivery and the baguettes were small with more tomatoes than ham, my friend had ordered before from Rodilla and gave me one and hers were really good, I was disappointed by that but then I saw the receipt and they had charged me more than $15.00 between service fee, delivery fee and driver tip which I am willing to pay a tip to the driver who kindly brought me my food. I guess I am not ordering food from Rodilla in the future

I know Rodilla well and have been to several of their stores in Madrid. Their store in Coral Gables is a far cry from the original concept, beginning with a very limited menu and a customer service which is mediocre and rude. They're also pricey for a sandwich joint. It's no wonder that they have reduced their hours, a sure sign that they're struggling. I was at the store recently for lunch, the store was empty, and called a staff person over to make an order. He was upset that I had called out to him, distracting him from reading text messages on his phone, and he told me haughtily that he wasn’t my servant and that he deserved respect! I thought I had misunderstood him because his English was so poor. But then he doubled down on his statement and repeated that he wasn't my servant. He also said that he was the store manager. At that point, I gave up and decided to go elsewhere. Imagine, if this is the store manager, what a role model he must be for the rest of the staff! Chain stores like Rodilla, virtually unknown in the US, can’t afford to have staff, let alone managers, with a chip on their shoulder. If this individual doesn't like to deal with customers then he's in the wrong business and has no place fronting a retail store. I have told the story to many of my friends in the ex-pat community and some say they've had similar experiences at the store. I'd be surprised if they stay open for another year. And don't bother looking for their corporate offices or a customer service hotline. This is one business which likes to operate without regard for the customer, and where a sandwich is served along with a heap of customer abuse.

Another time, the attendant was toward the middle of the restaurant when a customer walked in. She neglected to go toward the front to talk to the customer but instead shouted out, asking what the customer wanted.A menu is simple with salads, soups, sandwiches, tapa tablets, and smoothies. Though the sandwiches are priced reasonably, they appear to be a thin slice of loaf bread with minimal substance. Their baguette sandwiches run for $12 and $14. They have tapas from $16 to $28, while their smoothies and juices are about $10.The few times I have walked by, there hardly seems to be anyCustomers, so I do not know how long this place will last with the rents being what they are in Coral Gables. I hope they make it, but I will not go back for strike three.

We’ve visited this nice place two times and we were very happy! Clean and friendly staff . Lovely place and fresh food . Plenty of space and outdoor seating.
