How sad! One of our family favorites has just become unfamily friendly and unaffordable. Unless you have $80 for 4 hamburgers.... And if you want a salad, it is now $17. Don't worry your children can feast on a $9 hot dog. You could save a little money there. As far as all of the wonderful flavors that they used to have at their ice cream counter, they are down to a 3rd of the flavors. This is not a way to adjust to Covid. This is a way to lose long-time customers. I have been going to Swensons since I'm a little kid. This is my last visit. In fact, I didn't even stay once I saw these unreasonable prices that are gouging our community. Swenson's has broken my heart!
One of my favorite icream store growing up. My order wasn't exactly what the menu said but it was good.
I absolutely loved it. The menu is huge and has a variety of options. They allow substitutions on the patty, so I had the Mac Burger with their house-made veggie patty. The burger, as well as the patty, was huge and delicious. I also tried their mozzarella sticks and the onion rings, along with the side of fries, all of them tasty and crispy. The milkshake was good, but I believe it could be better. The ambience and the modern rustic vibe is beautiful, my party commented on it when we walked in. Recommend it for a nice outting as well as casual dining. All in all, fantastic experience.
This place used to be a real hit back in the day. Sorry to see the change in management. Menu has shrunk alot. The service is subpar. I will not be returning. Things in Miami are changing for the worst all over.
Well looks like another Miami Tradition has been sold off and going down hill. My wife was born and raised in Miami and really looks forward to going to Swensen's it is a tradition a Miami Staple!LooksLike it has been sold off and is no longer the same- no wafers for the Stickey Chewy Sunday and no Praline Pecan- excuse... wait for it...COVID! Are you serious! Also no air conditioning- doors were open- that's good enough for these Americans.Something is clearly missing the originalOwners. Oh Well another Traditional Miami Favorite has bit the dust. So long Swensen's you had a good run.
Although is still one of my favorite places to eat, I have to say that they still have the same amount of tables as before, there's no social distance, perhaps they can have some tables outside.
Great food and staff but the were short handed and ventilation was interesting to say the least but none the less it’s the same place and I’m glad to see it open ...highly recommend Nica Burger
The food is constantly well prepared and delicious, employees hands out good service. I really like how neat it is and mood. Will visit here again.
The doors are kept open for ventilation. While waiting to be seated I saw people get up from their tables without mask to go to restroom. Also, they sit you in booths with no plexiglass dividing. Also, the tables were too close to each other. We walked in and waited 10 min before walking right back out.
Been coming here for a long time but it was different, food still very ? GOOD. They seemed very short staffed, tables and behind the counters were messy, the man making the ice creams had his mask below his mask? What!! There was a child maybe 8 or 9 years old possibly a relative no mask and all over the restaurant. It gives off a very bad impression when they're serving themselves food they bought in for themselves (maybe homemade) while they're serving us restaurant food? Really weird. All tables were busy there was no social distancing at all. Last but not least the video channel they had on was so inappropriate for a family restaurant, wheres the management? Come on Swensons you can do better, hire some extra staff and pay attention to detail. Wishing you the best.

Sadly, there was trash on the entryway. Left over food all over the ground. A/C was broken and it smelled like a dirty bathroom inside. Although the server was friendly and polite the smell was just awful. Coupled with poor ventilation it was pretty bad. Ice cream was good...
Very nice, old school vibe in there. Feels like you're traveling back to simpler times.
Awful service! Waiting for 45 minutes to sit. Had to ask for a menu. People that arrived after us, were assisted first. Rude male waitress. Left without eating.
Not what it used to be our service was great collections of ice cream were very limited took forever to get out
This place has gone to hell. Once such a Gem among South Miami, but unfortunately not anymore. We arrive and 2 gentlemen kept telling us they weren't serving food only ice cream to go when they still had 45 minutes left before closing.Observed employee(Or manager) working the ice-cream bar with no mask and touching things after just using cleaning products.2 other managers(or owners) walking around food areas and throughout the entire establishment without wearing masks.Had to walk out and leave. In an time where safety for the health of others and themselves are paramount, it's clear this establishment does not care. They are lucky a food inspector doesn't shut them down.
