I was really looking forward to eating here on our date night as we frequent Mexican food regularly. We had chips and salsa served immediately. However even the water took so long to get to our table. The server did kindly explain that they had one bartender so the drinks would take a while, but not close to 25 minutes?? Server was very sweet so nothing bad from her end. We got most of our food before we even got drinks. Moreover the food was subpar compared other places we have been to. We had guac, ceviche, and shrimp tostadas, and queso. The only thing worthy of a shout out was the queso. So sad as I was looking forward it, my husband and I both work in hospitality so we know the business :(

My first time experience in talavera was great and the restaurant had a nice vibe. Our server Javier was fantastic and the food was delicious. The Guacamole with chicharron was amazing & the tacos were awesome and a nice portion and variety. They have a full stock bar and variety of drinks so you have plenty to choose from, the margarita was great! I will definitely be returning to talavera to try the rest of their delicious menu. Thank you Javier for providing a great service and experience.

All is good about the place! Food was fresh and well arranged, right menu for a hot coral gables day, prompt service, reasonable prices. My only piece of mind for the management is to throw away all the chipped black plates, they make a wrong impression and are actually not even needed. Waiter take them from table to table without washing. Some look used with oily fingerprints. Most of terracota plates are chopped too. Everything else was great! Thank you!
As always ... it's a great place ... food good ... waitress staff ALWAYS excellent except for this time. It seems we had a bad error in judgment by the management. They put one waitress on duty outside serving over a dozen tables ... impossible for her to do her job and be efficient. We waited and waited for drinks and water and food ALL because ... the owners / manager on duty last night failed to provide adequate staff for the numbers of dinners ... kind of ruined the whole dining outdoors atmosphere ... what say you owners ??

Food and service are great but they don’t have any way to place a take out order besides placing it with them. So if you want to order to go you physically have to go to the store and wait however long it takes them to make your food. It can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour to get your to go order (for something as simple as an order of enchiladas and nothing else). Having a way to order online or allow people to call the order in, that would have bumped it up to 5 stars.
