Amazing place Food was great. In town for the Marathon and wanted somewhere good to eat and this was amazing.
Ordered a dish that came with a dressing. We asked to just get that dressing on the side and they said they would charge us for it, since it was on the side. I mean really? Hostess staff is also never helpful

Food was ok, drinks were mediocre, the server was nice but nonexistent or distracted. We asked for medium steak came out well done and dry, we said normal mashed potatoes and got fully loaded. It was like this girl was on auto pilot but without a map. We didn’t receive silverware up until after we finished our appetizer, I had to get up and get napkins from the bathroom. Its a shame, the location is nice but we did not get the best service. I’ve gone to the Tap 42 in Midtown, Doral and Ft.lauderdale this one definitely fell flat when it came down to quality of service.

Best spinach and artichoke dip we've ever had, and the drinks were delicious. But we waited quite a while for our main entree.

If you are thinking of going to Tap42/gables restaurant. Avoid it during a sporting event or special event…service is horrible, they don’t ring your food and they don’t equip with plenty of staff to accommodate the capacity.
HORRIBLE SERVICE when its filled to capacity.

I typically love Tap 42; it's a regular in my restaurant rotation and my parents always request to eat there whenever they visit. However, the service this time was horrible. If it were my first time eating there, I would never return. They seated us out of the way because they said a large party was going to be seated around the other corner and it would be loud. My mom even said, "Ok, thank you -- as long as you don't forget about us," and they assured us that they would not. But, of course, they did. The server constantly forgot things we had asked for, and when we asked again, he wouldn't even apologize for forgetting. At one point, I had to get up and go into the restaurant (we were sitting outside) to ask for coffee and the check. (Note -- They don't have decaf coffee.) Instead of doing that, though, we could have probably just gotten up and walked away because we had been waiting about 20 minutes from when our plates were cleared before I decided to go in. Other servers were even coming outside to attend to other tables, but they didn't check on us or remind our server that he had a table outside. And also, it wasn't busy inside, so I'm not sure what he was doing. Also, there was no one sitting in the section that they said would be loud, so they put us out of the way to forget about us for no reason. It was a horrible experience.
I ate a rib that was sensational.

Waited 20 minutes for the server to come to our table even though she attended the ones around us. Server was also not in a good mood with us. Very disappointed from the service, my first ever complaint of tap 42

Returning to an old stomping ground is always a bit of a gamble. I used to work in the Gables and Tap 42 was a regular spot for me back when the service was as sharp as the drinks. Unfortunately, this Sunday brunch felt less like a happy reunion and more like we were invisible.
We were seated when the restaurant was fairly empty, which you’d think would guarantee attentive service. Instead, we sat there for about ten minutes without a single greeting. I’m not a high-maintenance guy, but I generally prefer to order my food before I start contemplating retirement. I eventually had to get up and ask the hostess to send a search party to find us a waiter. It definitely feels like the service standards have gone downhill since my days as a regular here. To make matters worse, there was a stack of dirty plates at the bar that greeted us when we walked in and was still there when we left. I think they might be part of the lease agreement now.
The frustrating part is that the food is still genuinely excellent. The kitchen is firing on all cylinders, but the front of the house seems to be operating on a delay. If you have infinite patience, the meal is worth it, but don't expect the snappy service this place used to be known for.

Always having a good time at Tap42. Either for brunch or any other time, it’s always a good place to go with family or friends. Saturdays with Happy Hour makes it more interesting. The food is good, the service also good, as well as the atmosphere. A lot of people always having fun next to you. The outdoors area is also a great option. Paid street parking but somewhat difficult to find a spot nearby.

We went here for a Sunday brunch with extended family. The restaurant is very loud with music, which significantly impedes conversation. So the host suggested we sit outside at a table furthest away from the speakers. This was very helpful, but I felt sorry for our waitress who had to go significantly out of her way to serve us. The food was good, but not outstanding.

The food was awful. Calamari tower came out cold and rubbery. The chicken bowl was tasteless. I should've known the food was going to bad when I notice the place was empty for a Saturday night!
Went on a Wednesday at 330. Few people. Pleasant hostess.
