Came here last night for date night. Very cozy location on Giralda. We sat at the bar and started off with drinks. I had a classic margarita, you can tell the sour was home made because it wasn't so sweet or sour but a perfect balance. Also had great local beer selections on tap. Then I had the chicken bites for appetizer which was basically a deconstructed version of a chicken sandwich, but the bites were perfectly and lightly fried. Then had The Burger for entree, the meat was so tender and well cooked. Overall a great time and great service.

Great spot with the best Kimchi fries I've ever had (and the only ones)! This place in Giralda is right in the middle of the action in Coral Gables. This street is open to foot traffic only and is home to dozens of restaurants of all different types. I've had this restaurant in my bookmarks for a while now but never found myself in that area until a recent Friday. We were in the area and looking for a place to eat at around 8pm and every restaurant was jam packed! Finally decided to visit this place in spite of the hour wait that the hostess advised us that there was. We sat outside and was called a little over 30 minutes later. For drinks, this place offers a full bar and a pretty extensive rotating menu of craft beers. Due to high demand, some of the craft beers on the menu where already out by this time but they were plenty of good choices still. I ordered a burger and ordered the Kimchi fries. The burger was delicious but the kimchi fries were outstanding! Service was great and I recommend this place.

Extremely lousy experience. We waited an hour for our food to be brought out. Mind you, we ordered burgers! I'm pretty sure the server/bartender forgot to put the order in but he blamed the kitchen for the delay. We then waited another 15 minutes for the bill. I went to find the server and he was doing shots at the bar. He knew he got caught because he didn't charge us for the beers. Even with free beers, we won't be coming back.

I wanted to like this place, but I hated the whole experience. I ordered the cornbread as an appetizer, and they brought me out two burnt pieces. I would be ashamed to serve those to non-paying guests... Let alone paying customers! Then I was given what was supposed to be a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. I am not sure where that sauce came from but it wasn't Nashville (nor was it Flavortown. It wasnt good at all). This sandwich was slathered and dripping in a brown sauce with spice but that's about it. It was so dripping it required a fork and knife to eat without wearing it, which just isn't right. Our waiter wore a mask, but not properly (it basically covered his bottom lip). All in all, 1 star is generous. Spend your money (and time) elsewhere.

Fine place to go if you like your bartenders/servers drunk and slow. We went there last Sunday afternoon. There were two gentlemen acting as bartenders/servers at the cash register behind the bar. We sat at the bar. It took 10 minutes for them to come over to us. We gave our cocktail order. Then we watched the two men joke amongst themselves, slowly wait on other people and down shots. Note: there were six other empty shot glasses at the bar. After waiting around for at least 20 minutes to get our cocktails we finally stood up and walked out. It must be hard to get good help.

We were going to eat here on a Sunday night, but there was loud rap music playing over the speakers. We decided to give it a pass. It would seem like a gastro pub would have something a little easier to listen to than this choice. Oh well. There are plenty of other restaurants on the street and it is a beautiful evening...

ATTENTION ALL NON-tasters!! IVE FOUND THE PLACE! Superb texture! I was hesitant to leave my house and explore my tastebuds but gladly I decided to come to the local and ordered the grilled cheese. Gladly it was made from Kraft cheese, my favorite brand! It also came with what I thought was tomato soup (as I had ordered); however, upon arrival I discovered it was a potato soup! How quirky! Love it here! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Man what a bad experience, I ordered tostones and they took 30 minutes to reach our table. The actual food took 1 hrs. The place was dead. My whiskey on the rocks took 20 minutes. When I took my son to the bathroom and our waitress was chatting with some friends plus those same friends asked the busboy if he was going to meet with them later at a friends house while giving him a small pocket size cylinder which looked funny. Plus the smell of weed coming from the kitchen. Won't be back. Sad cause this place use to be good. A shame, plus no manager. Don't bother wasting your money. I just did

If you are thinking about eating here, READ THIS FIRST: So went last night to this place because we had gotten a table between Miss Saigon and The local. The table was no more than 3 feet from their regular tables. I asked the manager if it would be alright to get service since the table was just 3 feet away from their area. The response from this IDIOT blew my mind so I need to let people know. He was like NO! That's not my area. So I told him that I understand but it's only 3 feet away? He was so rude and turned his back. I followed him into the place and asked for a manager and he walked back around and laughed and said, that's me so NO! I told him how unprofessional he was and he laughed and said, I don't care!!!! People Like this are why businesses fail. I will tell you that I don't recommend going to this place just for the fact that someone like this is managing the business. I then walked over to Clutch burger and asked the manger if he would serve me since the table was even further. What a difference! He was absolutely! Tell me where you are at and we will take care of you. That manager was Steve from Clutch Burger. I high recommend going there. If the owners of The Local read this, send me a message because I would love to talk to you in person and let you know the entire story in more detail.

Wandered over to the outdoor dining section in the Gables and decided on trying something new. A server greeted us and told us to find a table with a QR Menu code. The tables were quite dirty unfortunately, but not quite enough to deter us away. So we sat down and ordered two of their orange beers. I actually really enjoyed the taste. I don't like IPAs and this one wasn't too piney tasting. Reminded me of a Blue Moon, but better. For food we both ordered the Udon Noodles and the chicken pot pie croquettes. The Udon noodles themselves were very good with a flavorful sauce. It also came with kale and pieces of chicken. This was definitely tasty, but not special enough for me to order again. I give It a 4/5. As for the chicken pot pie croquettes.OMG. A culinary masterpiece, but the order only comes with two, so you may need 2 orders. Definitely a 5/5. We were especially hungry and I was really craving fries, so we also ordered a fish and chips to share. It was untraditionally made with catfish which was tasty, but different than what I expected. The fries were good, but some were definitely over cooked. 3.5/5 Additionally, the servers were really nice and I loved the ambiance of the outdoor seating with the twinkle lights.
