I recently dined at Izumo Japanese Restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The portions were huge, making it an excellent value for the price. RIP IZUMO. People don’t bother coming. The food is still good. We enjoy ourselves but 730 at night on a Saturday and literally no one is in the restaurant. It used to be packed. They need to put themselves back in the coupon book immediately and honestly I don’t think that will be enough to save the place. Prices up quite a bit too. EDIT: what happened to the fire? Or the volcano?

Our server was a wonderful 24 year old who took care of us very well. He was friendly and nice, albeit a bit slow in taking our checks. He made jokes and made us smile.
The chef wasn't bad but he didn't seem overly friendly. His cooking was very on point. The food didn't have the usual layer of oil/butter you find in hibachi places.
I did ask for medium rare steak but...
