i can’t believe this place still open after getting people sick .. it was on the news about there 35 violations

Was on vacation earlier in south Florida in 2024 got sick after eating at priyas roti shop in Coral Springs. Didn’t think much of it as Im not 100% used to the menu. Did some research and discovered an abysmal record of health department inspections that at least twice resulted in immediate store closure “in the interest of and in protection of public health” rat dropping, dead rodents and mold all around found, refrigerator and meal prep areas. Owner chased cameras of reporters who were doing a “dirty dining” segment out of restaurant with machetes, after I discovered their dirty past I got sick again in my bathroom, but could have been psychologically induced that time. The first time I was actually physically sick. Never again would I eat here and neither should anyone. 👎🏻🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤢🤢🤢👎🏻

The food flavor is AMAZING, the owner of the shop is extremely friendly and explained so much to us about his foods and culture and the spices, etc. I'm not sure I've ever had anything so delicious!!

This place had 35 Health violations. Rodent gnaw marks on potatoes, 75 to 100 rodent droppings on the floor, 20 rodent droppings in a container of rice, inspector writing "too many droppings to count." Owner comes out wielding a machete to intimidate news anchor trying to interview them.

Bake and shark was cooked really hard and tough and the bake itself was not cooked properly either. Not sure if there is a new chef or something but it was basically inedible.

Had a work trip over in that area and stopped over. Great atmosphere while I was there a regular stopped by and it felt like the corner bar in Trinidad. Excellent food and picked up some Patsy’s Chana for the ride home. Will have to find an excuse to go back. Doubles for the win!!!

I live 50 miles away from Priya’s and this was random drive by find for me. The restaurant was clean when i entered and immediately greeted by the son of the owner . He offered us a free doubles which was perfect. We ordered roti and curry to go. Atmosphere and service for me was very good. Prices was also reasonable.
The 1 thing that is missed when you've lived in Toronto and N.Y. is authentic and super yummy food. The staff was friendly and prices were very reasonable. Priya's is a sure thing. It will make your toes curl.

My first time dining here with my husband. Justin, the owner, was so amazing. He was accommodating, great customer service and excellent food! His food is fresh and made to order. Definitely highly recommend!!!
