It's CLOSED loves their Aegean Linguine. Stopped by on a whim tonight and found this sign on the door.

Planned on meeting a friend for lunch here (9/30/2023) and it appears they are closed, telephone number has been disconnected. Outside furniture and heaters are still in the patio area. It is too bad, I had heard a lot of good things about them since their reopening. Ended up going next door to Miller's Ale House

9-16 update to review: I went in to them despite my past review. Seems they updated their ownership..decor inside was nice and everyone was super nice ..octopus was done VERY good and healthy. Not many people inside , I was there with my partner at 930 pm. They deserve more business and I'll be back. Review updated from 3 to 5 stars.Previous review: I would've gone here tonight and eaten with my friends but seeing all the recent negative reviews they've garnered they don't deserve my business even if they were nice on the phone . Thank you fellow Google reviewers

Loved the atmosphere and the music. The guy playing the guitar was awesome.Went in on a Friday night as a party of six and we were one of three tables.Hummus and pita was amazing, but that was where the great experience ended. It took 50 minutes to get the food and the waiter never even came over to explain what was taking so long. A table that came in after us got their food before we did.My husband got a burger and asked for it to be cooked medium. The patty was very thin and it was well done. We were too hungry to send it back. He said it was the worst burger he ever had. The falafel just wasn't good at all. My son got a chicken pasta dish and said it was pretty good.We asked for the check and the bartender must have noticed how long everything took for us because she came out with dessert and had the chef come and apologize for how long everything took, which was very nice. Unfortunately, I can't say that the dessert was very good, but again, it was a nice gesture.Based on this experience, I can't say that I'll ever return.

We had an amazing time! The food was delicious! We got the menu called the village. It came with appetizer (greek salad, keftas, tzatziki and pita) entree (gyro, chicken skewers, and lamb chops with lemon potatoes plus steamed veggies) and dessert (walnut cake, baklava, and vanilla custard). The service was also really good! The waitress was nice and guided us to order enough food for 6, and we have leftovers! This menu was really convenient price wise as well!! Highly recommend this gem! We will be back!!

So we've never actually been here before so we can't compare to when the previous owners were here. My fiance and I went to dinner last night and it was absolutely delicious. We started with some spreads and the spicy feta was super good!! The taramasalata was yummy. The falafel was good. He had a gyro wrap and the fries were my new favorite. Can't wait to come back! Nice dinner spot.

Great food and ambiance. Solid variety of options on the menu, impressive drink list, and many authentic Greek dips that taste just like the ones in Greece. Coming from me, as a Greek girl brought up on authentic dishes my entire life, my standards are quite high and I was very impressed. I was surprised that the place was so empty on a Saturday night and hopefully people with past negative experiences give this place a second chance since it sounds as though the owners have recently changed. We will be back!

Went with a group of 6. One diner is gluten-free. When she asked what they have that's gluten-free. They waitress said let me ask. She came back and said we have nothing. You have chicken breast and fish. You can't make anything? Gimme a fffing break. Won't be returning! Food average at best. Even with new owners back. Chef/cook can't figure out how to make anything not containing gluten. Must be a bad/lazy chef(cook). The person that needed the gluten-free option said she's never been told at any restaurant they can't come up with a gluten-free dish. We actually should've left, but luckily she had a late lunch. She did say the coke was quite tasty. 6pm reservations and place was empty. Left at 8 and still empty. I wonder why? No response from owner. Guess they don't care either.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Taverna Evia. From the moment we stepped inside, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambience. The menu offered an extensive range of traditional Greek dishes infused with authentic flavors. I started my dining experience with the classic falafels. The freshness of the ingredients was truly evident, and it set the tone for the exceptional meal that followed. For the main course, I decided on the moussaka. Layers of eggplant, ground beef, and creamy béchamel sauce blended together to create a delicious medley of flavorsThe service was second to none. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist, providing recommendations based on personal preferences and ensuring that I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience. Their genuine passion for Greek cuisine shone through in every interaction, leaving me feeling like a valued guest.Lastly, the lovely music playing in the background combined with the art of belly dancing added entertainment to the already exceptional experience. If you have a love for Greek cuisine, I wholeheartedly recommend Taverna Evia. From the flavorful dishes to the warm ambiance and outstanding service, it is a restaurant that truly captures the essence of Greece in every aspect.

First, the food: we started spreads with pita and Greek salad that were good, shrimp Santorini was ok but shrimp were over cooked and only smothered in tomato sauce whereas traditionally, there is feta cheese also. We ordered chicken and gyro wraps and opted for lemon potatoes instead of fries. The gyro was decent but the way it is cut lead is to believe it is frozen and pre-cut, not shaved off of an actual vertical broiler as is the traditional way. The chicken kebab was dry and inedible. The lemon potatoes tasted like they had been pulled from a refrigerator and microwaved as they were dry and mealy on the outside and still cold on the inside. We don’t complain and it could be because we went during an off time at 4 pm as we were the only patrons other than one other table in the place. Our server was nice but not very knowledgeable about the food and when describing the difference between a platter and a wrap (aside from being $3-5 more than a wrap) was that it’s the same thing as the wrap, just deconstructed so it’s not as messy…doesn’t seem like a good reason to spend more on it then. We ordered galaktoboureka for dessert and the custard was lumpy and did not set correctly, the phylo dough was dry and not soaked in honey as it should be…horrible to say the least. That was the Bad. Now for the ugly: when it came time to pay, I gave her my card and she proceeded to charge it, and I knew it was charged as I have my account set up to give me alerts whenever there is a charge to the card. She claimed that the card was declined and handed me six transaction receipts that said card declined: duplicate transaction. I said that the charge went through and showed her my bank info and alert that proved it but she assured me it didn’t go through and my only recourse was to call my bank and tell them to put a stop payment on the charge (admitting there was indeed a charge?) and asked me for a different card which I gave her and she proceeded to try a different terminal as she said the one she was using behind the bar always gives her trouble. The second charge went through and we left with a literal and figurative bad taste in our mouth. I called the credit card company the following day and they assured me that a charge was indeed occurred and I had to submit a fraud report and will have to wait 90 days to hear the outcome of their investigation. I called the restaurant to speak with a manager and she told me that there was nothing that they could do as they did not see two charges on their end and pretty much told me I am out of luck.I am writing this review as a buyer beware warning. Gyromania or gyroville have better tasting and fresher food for a fraction. Of the price unless uninspired and mediocre food along with theft of your money is your thing. My opinion, pass this place by if you’re looking for Greek food.
