We were seated quickly even though it was a Saturday nite. My husband had the shrimp Alfredo and I had the broiled scallops. Unfortunately, the scallops were dry as a bone and very chewy. There was no butter on them and they had no flavor. These were probably the worst scallop I had in my life! I had to use cocktail sauce to be able to eat them. The cocktail sauce didn't help much. I think they mistook the ketchup for the cocktail sauce. The hushpuppies were good but very small. The stuffed mushrooms were very greasy and overdone.Don't drink the water, get a soda. The water tastes pretty bad, even lemon didn't help. I don't complain there, I just won't go back. This is my very honest review

Went here last week for business presentation. Rude and chaotic. Mid-presentation, staff came to us and told us we had to move. As soon as we did move all of our papers and documents and began to settle in, we were AGAIN told that we had to move. Some of the participants had already been fed and their dishes were cleared before we got a morsel. Staff told us that was from the presenters..But why were some fed over an hour sooner. The bar (in our assigned space) was loud and detracted from our experience, as did the other customers who were brought in when we were trying to listen. Food was pretty good, but very small portions. Absolutely inadequate handicapped parking.Currently running AYCE shrimp for $21.99, select days.Parking: Inadequate handicapped speces

It was good Friday and not very busy. Once we finally got a waitress it wasnt to bad. Just seems to take forever no matter where you go anymore.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu
We had family in town and decided to give this restaurant a shot, we hadn’t eaten there previously but I had heard some nice things about it. I must say everyone enjoyed it immensely. It was very clean, and well decorated. Our server was very pleasant and prompt. The food was fairly priced, properly prepared and no one will be leaving hungry. We will certainly be back.
Not sure if it’s worth returning. Food wasn’t seasoned. We had catfish and snapper with French fries and coleslaw. Food took forever (45min) to arrive at our table.Carolyn was our server. She was pleasant.

I have to say, I am not one to give bad reviews but feel I should give an honest opinion on our recent visit. Clearly they were short staffed. We ordered appetizers but never got silverware. I never received a drink. Appetizers got cold before anyone brought us silverware. When they brought the appetizers back they were cold and probably the same ones they took back. The server was clearly stressed and wasn't attentive. For a $250 dinner..I really expected more. Not worth the money and probably will not go back. It's definitely can see the quality has gone down hill since our last visit. Just be aware.

The food was not good. Whomever prepared it does not know how to blend flavors and make an edible dish. Mains and sides were completely different temperatures to the extreme. I won't be back.

The food was good, Great service. We will definitely be back. This is one of the best seafood restaurants in Citrus County. A must-try.
I want to like this place I really do. I often visit the Inverness location, have eaten numerous times at the Callahan location and the Amelia Island location so I know what to expect but this location does not measure up. I now live in the area and have visited the Crystal River location twice. Both visits I order the same meal…..the shrimp and flounder special with a side of cole slaw and Lima beans. While the cole slaw and limas are great, unlike other Cedar River locations the shrimp is over cooked and chewy. The flounder is overcooked and curled up with tough ends. The hushpuppy (yes hush puppy) is overcooked and tough. Also, at all the other locations I’ve visited with the flounder and shrimp special I’ve gotten minimum six shrimp that have nice breading and moist meat and the meat pulls out of the tails easily. The flounder lays flat on the plate with nice breading and flaky meat. The hush puppies are squeezable with crunchy crust and tender breading inside. At the Crystal River location both visits I’ve received three (3) overcooked tough shrimp and two curled up overcooked pieces of flounder. I’ve never gotten but one hushpuppy that also is overcooked. One hushpuppy……are they really that expensive?? There are numerous seafood restaurants in Crystal River so I should probably find another and not waste any more time and money at this location. I know what Cedar River restaurants are capable of but this one falls very short.
