Cody's Original Roadhouse - Crystal River

This place had the filthiest bathrooms of any Cody's we have ever been in both the ladies room and the men's room. While our waitress was great we saw several others standing around and could have been cleaning the bathrooms we were very disappointed 😞

My husband and I tried this restaurant again as it had been a few years since we last dined here. We were hopeful it had changed with the quality of the food, but it has not. My husband had the prime rib sandwich which was not seasoned and tasteless. I had the cheese quesadilla which was "meh" at best. We were sat in the bar area which would normally be ok, but the "f" word was used like common language from patrons and was not enjoyable to hear while eating lunch. I know the restaurant cannot control that, but it was not good sitting there. The only glowing light was the hostess, and server, Kim, who were very friendly and attentive.

Kat was our waitress and did a great job. The restaurant was very busy but she still checked back with us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed, and with a smile and sincerely. My husband's Monday ribs were cooked to perfection. I had the fried chicken sandwich -- huge
and very tasty. Cody's has become our new favorite casual and fun restaurant.

We have always had good food and service at Cody’s. Fajita BOGO Wednesday is a great deal along with the happy hour.
Update 4/2/2025: Fajitas meat and veggie serving size seems to be getting smaller and not worth the $19 unless you do the BOGO night.

Convenience food. Sure it's tasty. But don't live on it.

I don't eat bread, potatoes, anything fried, processed food, or seed oils.

There goes right out the window most every place to get prepared food out. It's a challenge to eat right for all of us.

That's why so many jumbo sized people are everywhere and can't break the cycle. It's a public health disaster. Typically, the better the food seems, the worse it is for our health. What's a person to do except eat at home? We all should consume mostly healthy stuff and avoid junk. Make every bite thoughtful and healthy.

I basically just can't eat out.

Cody's was recommended by a neighbor. We got there around 8 and the place was very busy. The server (Brittany)was very efficient and friendly. She kept a watch on our table and we never had to ask her for anything. My husband and I both had the filet and it was the best I have had anywhere. I would highly recommend.

Our dinner with family was very good tonight. The two for one drinks are a favorite. The whole table got a drink after sharing! Peach margaritas are too die for!!

Parking: Come early, it gets busy and they have early bird specials before 6 and the 2 for 1 drinks.

They forgot to bring out my friends French Onion Soup appetizer then his quisadilla was so salty he couldn't even eat it. Another friends steak was supposed to be cooked med and it was still mooing when they brought it to the table. (So uncooked it was not funny).....

Kid-friendliness: Kids menu, it's a steakhouse, but they don't even have steak as an option for kids on there menu. Texas Roadhouse and Longhorn Steakhouse have steak choices on there kids menu, very disappointing......
