I’m here from Buffalo, NY visiting my best girlfriend in the area and we just came in for dinner with 5 kids in tow! Gabby was so welcoming and great with our rowdy table. The place was clean and cozy and smelled like smoky BBQ heaven! We enjoyed everything we ate from the homemade pork rinds (tried ALL the sauces on the table!) and all the smoky meats. The kids cleaned their plates as did the adults. My favorite was the brisket, but everything was excellent. The price for 7 of us to eat (and carry home another meals worth of leftovers) was more than reasonable. I couldn’t believe this place was not packed. We’ll be back for sure! Thank you Gabby and everyone behind the scenes! And just had to add a most honorable mention to the hands down most delicious, melt-in-your-mouth smoky jalapeño poppers I’ve ever had.

Food was fantastic. Beans were too tier.

Ordered through Grub Hub delivery since I've been there before in person and food was really good in the past. Don't waste your money on the mac and cheese though. It's some low budget boxed stuff made without cheese or love. Basically boiled noodles they charge you $11 for a big cup container. Plenty of other BBQ places in Citrus County that you pay the same price and get higher quality food.

Very sad, small portions and disappointing meats and sides.

We were so disappointed!!! I ordered a brisket sandwhich which was so spicy I could not eat it. They might have mentioned that it was, but shame on me. It had pepperjack cheese. Fries were great but a bit too much pepper on top of the brisket. Oh I did not mention that the meat was chunked and rather dried out. The restaurant was very very clean and new. My husband ordered the ribs and almost died that there were only 4 ribs for 20 bucks. Beans were good as was garlic toast. Sorry but I give this one a 2 star. Was not worth 40 dollars.

Place was clean but for $20 I was expecting a little more than 4 little ribs for the baby back ribs, the only thing that was good was the baked beans. We went there due to the ratings and believe now not to do that anymore. My wife got the brisket sandwich and that was horrible too.Very disappointed.

We were absolutely impressed with the service here at Crystal River Smokehouse & Grill ?To find a server like Wendy is trying to find a needle in a haystack. She is definitely a dying breed of "Old School " service. She actually cared and tended to us as people, not just faces ordering food.We ordered the brisket, and it was so good ? ?.All in all, we will definitely return to the Crystal River Smokehouse & Grill!

This place deserves 100 stars. I am a native of North Carolina and I am a big fan of BBQ. These guys do it right. Everything on the menu is too notch. Please do yourself a favor and try the Jalapeño Poppers. Thank you for doing what you do.

The waitress in there brings her 3 children to work with her. Sometimes they are fussing. She brought our food to the table while carrying her 1 or so year old on her hip. We could smell his diaper. It was extremely uncomfortable. How can this be sanitary to wipe your child's snotty nose, touch their diaper, not wash your hands, and then serve food? Whoever is manager is doing an extremely poor job. We will never go back.

We had a group of 6 adults. At another table were 2 adults and 5 children. The children were allowed to run around at will, play ON the floor, scream and do whatever they wanted. In addition, one of the waitresses had their own toddler running around. We have frequented this establishment in the past, but no plans to ever visit again although the food is very good.Kid-friendliness: TOO kid friendly!
