Dan's Clam Stand

Our very first experience here. We just left, in the middle of Valentine’s Day rush… it was insanely busy! Staff was rolling, food was amazing, we highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Such a great little hidden gem! Everything we had was delicious! Great place for snow crab.

The restaurant was clean and service was pretty decent. Our waitress refilled our drinks before the food was served but it seemed like she forgot us after that. The food was decent but not exceptional. We have eaten here in the past and the food was much better so maybe they were having a bad day, but we probably won’t go back.

Traditional good solid seafood It ain’t fancy but it’s damn good If you’re used to silver spoons and champagne then steer clear If you want more than you can eat of some excellent seafood visit Dans!

The outside gives old Tiki Hut but the food is fresh fast and simply awesome 👌. Definitely in the top two seafood places in Crystal River.

We had another delicious visit to Dan's yesterday. The fried clams were even better than those from many Maine coast eateries. Perfect coating, portion, size, and an absolute A+! The clam chowder was its usual perfection in a bowl! Thank you, Susan, for great service and info about the business history.

Whole belly clams perfectly cooked & absolutely delicious! Onion rings & fried shrimp also just perfect! Brought chowdah home for later. Service excellent. Ate outside on a delightful afternoon. Will be back!

Excellent food and top rate service. The best clam chowder EVER! Great Angus burger. 3 choices of fish and chips. I did the cod. It was perfectly crunchy batter and flaky fish. Great onion rings. The coconut shrimp was outstanding. Homemade desserts. Too many choices. We will come back for the lobster rolls and crab. Service was fast, professional, friendly and answered every question with enthusiasm. Great inside and outside patio seating. Great vibe. Great fresh food. We will absolutely bring our friends and family back to this gem. Wonderful place.

Excellent fresh food. The clam chowder was the best we have ever had. Lobster rolls, fresh fish and the greatest Angus burger. Loved that they had 3 kinds of Fish and Chips. I had the Cod. Fantastic. Crispy and fresh. Coconut shrimp was wonderful. Onion rings were hand battered. Service was fast, friendly and professional. They answered every question. Plenty of drink options. Great atmosphere. Super clean. Airy inside and the seating outside was tiki like. We will be back. From Gator to snow crab. Ohhhhh and homemade Key-lime pie! YUMMY. I will try their peanut butter pie next.

When we first arrived in Crystal River, like many we foolishly thought a water view was the most important feature of a restaurant. Wrong. It’s great eats! Dan’s was everything we hoped for and more when chowing down as two seniors with two tween grandkids. The rustic ambiance was pure Old Florida, and the food and service were outstanding. You will not miss those views for a second when digging into a shrimp po’boy, popcorn shrimp and hushpuppies, or a big plate of fried clams! My husband is from New England, and the plump, succulent, clams did not disappoint! Wish we’d tried Dan’s Clam Stand first. I could have happily eaten here every day!

What a terrific local spot. Cindy our server was spot on in her service and recommendations. The blackened gator app was simply amazing. My wife and I had fish dinners and of course I had to have some of the famed clam strips. Along with a cup of chowder the whole meal was amazing. The selection is amazing and the service and preparation are even more so. Don't miss this place.
