Great diner. Super quick service. Really good food. Highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for a breakfast spot.

Me and my family were in citrus county today at the flea market, I always love to try new places and we seen this place while at a light. Long story short I stopped in asked a couple customers how the food was? There response was all the same very good. So we decided to try it out and man ol man the food was great the service was great all around great place. We will be going back again when we are in town

I ordered a turkey burger and a cup of soup. the burger was so dry and overcooked it was terrible. I ate like a quarter of the piece they said I eat to much to receive a replacement of which I just asked for another cup of vegetable soup. They refused. Im talking about a little cup of soup plus the were rude that I even asked! I have never been treated so poorly and rudely. it's hard to believe that you get treated like that just for asking for a little bit more something to eat that's so cheap!!!! oh pattie came with nothing but a cardboard patties and bread nothing else.

All summer I have been trying different restaurants with French toast the first and only one to get it right every time is Grannies, not soggy in the center. Great job to the staff in the kitchen and the girls in the front.

😁Grannies is worth the drive. Best restaurant for home style food, with fast service and decent prices.

We had a excellent experience at Grannie's. The food was delicious and well presented. My husband's grilled pork chops, juicy and tender, as were my chicken tenders. The sides perfect. Both Trisha & Jamie (hope I got your names correct) were wonderful. Very friendly and provided excellent service. Thanks to the kitchen staff also. They cooked us two beautiful meals. The restaurant was comfortable and welcoming. We will definitely be back soon, and recommend that people support this wonderful locally owned restaurant.

Service good. Grilled chicken tenders were ok, but a bit overcooked. Green beans not fresh or seasoned well - seemed like they were canned. Fake butter. Dry cornbread. Average coleslaw. Place is NOISY. Does not deserve a high rating in TripAdvisor. Learned that “Grannie” has retired. I wonder if food was better when she was on board.

This place is not good at all. The coffee is weak. My husband and I both ordered 2 eggs scrambled with cheese, home fries, bacon and a biscuit. The eggs were good, the potatoes were nasty. I believe it was probably the paprika they cooked them with. The bacon was so hard and was dried out. The biscuit was ahh ok but the kicker is they warmed it up in the microwave. WHAT!! We will not be returning!

They always offer to Butter my Pancakes ! ... I like that ! A Waitress described Buttering the Pancake right away, "Nice & Melty" !

I don’t know how they get good reviews. We live in Crystal River and only went there because Biscuit Barn was closed. I ordered half order of biscuits and gravy and two eggs. My wife ordered two eggs and toast. Almost immediately I was brought a full order of biscuits and gravy and two eggs were placed between us. They were obviously a left over order as both were cold. Cold gravy for breakfast. Eventually we waved a server down and two more eggs and toast showed up. Bad experience.

I went in about 1230 pm
A busy time mind you, I say at the counter. I ordered steak and eggs which was on special for 13.99 and a glass of tea.
My waitress was conversational and friendly.
My steak was cooked medium rare as requested. My eggs were a little over cooked..
My food was delivered without my toast and without asking if I needed anything. Which I in fact did need A1 sauce. A waitress that was not the original walked by and said my toast would be right up. I observed her go to the toaster and handle my toast with her bare hands after wiping her cheek with the same hand.
I unwrapped my silver wear and discovered the fork , knife, and spoon all had a lot of stuck on particles of food on them still.
My original waitress comes by I ask for clean silver wear and A1.
She promptly obliges my request.
The second set of silver wear was unwrapped to find the knife and spoon badly stained and some slight food particles on them but the fork was clean. I started to pick at my home fries with my fork.
I could also observe the kitchen from my seat and noticed the cooks were handling various types of food all without gloves or hand washing.
I asked for my bill , not eating anymore.
I get my bill and it's 18.00 even.
Since my special was 13.99 that means a glass of tea was 4 bucks!!

That was my experience with Grannies Restaurant.

I loved grannies.... My family and I have been going here for over 10 years...And then they sold it.
It's going downhill... I get different prices every time I order and it's always the same thing, the bacon is burnt to a crisp along with the sausage, the eggs are burnt. No matter how many times someone says something apparently it never gets to the person that needs to hear it! So today the whole breakfast taste like a burnt grill, sadly today is the last day I get breakfast from Grannies✌🏼*** update to that comment- I never had family work there "ever" lol so whoever you let go is on you! I'm not sticking up for anybody and I am "not" a disgruntled family member, just a customer that has been going there for over 10 years.... Thanks
