🩸 Everything from atmosphere, food, and service is aways outstanding. We drive over 50 miles one way to eat here. Wish we lived closer. Thank you, Danielle and John and staff. Need I say anymore?

Vanessa was our server, and she was the most friendly person ever! We will be going back because of her! The food is great, too!

Fam I promised this place I wouldn't review it because I wanted to keep it a secret. I've recently been advised keeping secrets isn't good. First time I found this place I thought it was a store. I walked in there and my mind was blown. The Second time I was in there someone bought me a beer. Every time I go in there now it's humbled and to buy traveling stranger a beer. Also the cook and menu are top tier. Imagine being out in the middle of lost lands and having the best meal and conversation ever.

We love going to unusual, off the beaten path restaurants, and we found one here at Island Outpost. How more unusual can you get with a tiki hut in a restaurant? It is almost at the end of W. Ozello Trl. Known to bikers as the Gator Tail. It is a restaurant/ convience/ bait store. There are only 10 tables but you can eat at the tiki hut bar. Our waitress, Danielle, was awesome she even shared interesting facts about the area to us. They serve breakfast all day and have daily dinner specials. They were serving meatloaf the day we were there.
We started with Crab Bites as an appetizer they were delicious, and the sauce had a nice kick. I had the Island Fish Reuben blackened. I had never had one before. It was terrific. It was made with fresh water catfish, slaw, and marbled rye bread. Hubby had the Club Hoagie and fries. He said it was one of the best he has had in a long time. He liked that they added banana peppers. Everything was served hot and fresh.
If you are looking for an overpriced, white tablecloth with linen napkins, then this place is not for you. Save it for those of us who love finding unusual places with wonderful food at reasonable prices.

Awesome place! Friendly small town restaurant!
Great service &food!
Typical American diner - I like to stop here periodically for breakfast when I come down to ride the Ozello Trail. If you get in before 0800 on a Sunday, it's not crowded.
Friendly staff and the food is as expected and compares well to others like it. I'll continue to stop in when I'm down this way.

Great little place to stop for breakfast. The service was great, and the island burrito was way better than expected! It was one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had :)
My daughter really enjoyed the pancakes as well.

Perhaps the food has changed but when I ate there home fries were cold and greasy, and the sausage gravy come from a bag mix.
