Really happy to have found The Bent Prop. It's a little off the main highway, but is easy access. We were made to feel welcome, seated and served promptly and then given time to relax and enjoy cocktails, appetizer, dinner and dessert at our own pace without feeling rushed. Drinks and food were all very good and reasonably priced (especially during Happy Hour) for the quality, even got to thank the chef for his work. Our server was awesome as well. Will definitely have The Bent Prop on our list of go-to places.

The past two nights I’ve had the pleasure of not only delicious food but the most spectacular service from the two best bartenders in town Josh and Megan. Hands down I recommend everyone to check out not only the restaurant but specifically the bar it will not disappoint and the atmosphere is stellar!

Sadly, the ambience is the only reason for two stars instead of one. Both the service and food were less than mediocre. We will not return.

Very nice location and venue. Bar service was great, but dinner service lacking. My husband has a dairy allergy and the waitress was not helpful at all. She didn't work with him at all to find a good option for him. He ended up ordering fish and chips as a safe option, but was very disappointed. Fish was dripping with grease. I had the scallops which were mediocre, the sautéed spinach was cold. Ambiance was great, but service and food are not worth the price.

I can't say enough good things about this place. The burrata appetizer with the mozzarella cheese and basil and arugula was beyond delicious and an amazing recommendation from Anna. The Cuban sandwich was delicious as well as the fried that came with it. Our Server Anna did an amazing job. The. Crazy lady lager and the. Local IPA were both quite delicious also. Side note- the restaurant is by a launch ramp which is alway entertaining.

Favorite local spot. Excellent menu, specialty cocktails, and the service steals the show. Spun Hub Cocktail is a must try. Meet Kasia, Steve and Anna behind the bar and you’re in for a great night!

Amazing cream of crab and red Maryland crab soup. Reluctantly got the half and half - both in the same bowl - fabulous. We will be back. Would like to see it taken down just a notch with the unique ingredients - I couldn't pronounce some - all in all highly recommend

If you like mediocre, over priced food, and small portions, boy have I found a place for you! This establishment fancies themselves a 5 star restaurant. This was made glaringly clear by a gentleman who works there. I could not discern in what capacity his actual job was. Perhaps he was simply hired to say "this is a 5 star restaurant!" loudly and numerous times each evening, in a feeble attempt to speak the fallacy into existence. It seems as though any small addendum or request was immediately belayed with either the exact words "this is a 5 star restaurant!" or the perceived attitude that our table of lowly peasants couldn't possibly even begin to know how we would like OUR food and drink prepared. Now, had we ordered well-done steaks or perhaps asked for ketchup to dip our steaks in, I would understand the apprehension. I'm a firm believer in God, Liberty, and never ordering a steak over medium rare. However, asking for a lime wedge for a drink should be a very easy accommodation for anyone. Not only were we met with attitude for this very small ask, but after our waitress returned not once, not twice, but 3 times to our table without bringing said lime wedge, we were also informed by the waitress that she "wasn't stupid" when we had to ask for the lime wedge again and again and again. No one called her stupid. They simply asked for this tiny, minuscule, accommodation each time she came back to the table. Now I'll put up with a lot for damn good food. I also have no problem paying upwards of $70 for a filet as long as it knocks my socks off. I do so twice weekly at my local steakhouse back home, but I was warned by a fellow foodie to steer clear of the steak at this establishment. Let me be clear, I did NOT order the steak, so this section of the review is indeed second hand information, but this is one human whose opinion I trust. I will not go any further into the details of his opinion other than to say he told me he had "eaten considerably better filet for two thirds the price in the Keys." Now, back to our experiences. These events transpired over a few visits to the establishment. I don't like to leave a terrible review over one bad dining experience and we were staying in the area, so it was convenient to give them a few chances. We ordered the $25 lobster appetizer. It consisted of 4 nickel sized pieces of lobster in drawn butter on a hot plate. It was overdone and rubbery. Others told us that they had gotten bigger portions of it in the past, so perhaps they were running short and instead of serving them until they were gone, they decided to go ahead and downsize the portions. That's speculation though. The biggest issue I have is with their Cream of Crab soup. The soup itself was phenomenal. It had the perfect balance of old bay and plenty of crab. I was truly impressed. Give credit, where credit is due, and credit was due when it came to the flavor profile of this soup. Now, I'll spare everyone the gory details but of the six people in our party that day, two of us had the cream of crab soup. The other individual and I were relegated to our rooms for 2 and 3 days, respectively, with debilitating bathroom issues. I'll say no more. The rest of my complaints just have to do with consistency and or price gouging. Drinks coming in different sized and shaped glasses from one visit to the next as well as differing presentations. That may be due to improper training of bar staff or perhaps lack of glassware, but those are rookie mistakes. Certainly not faux pas a self declared "5 star restaurant" should be making. I don't know if this is one of those restaurants who purposely tries to drag out your stay to get you to order more cocktails, but good lord does everything take FOREVER. That was the one place where the establishment was consistent. Long waits to be seated, long waits for drinks, long waits for food, long waits for the check. Every. Single. Time. It seems like the entire culture at this establishment may be the

Fun neighborhood spot with great staff, solid cocktail and food menu, and a small lovely patio alongside the marina/boat landing.
