Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port

What went well! Free airport transportation. The cookies at the front desk! The free water drinks with flavor! The afternoon staff! A nice pool and a nice hot tub! Room was solid!

What could improve is the restaurant, sometimes they did not prep the food right or overcooked bread. Rusty lift equipment for the pool and hot tub. And the morning staff was not as welcoming, when there was a faulty smoke alarm and we woke up to a fire alarm, there was not any announcement, coordinations, and the morning staff did not not address something that was urgent to us. He didn't even ask if I was a member or anything.
Also, only one elevator works and it's in need of work.

Overall, It's an easy and affordable place when you need a quick rest before or after a flight.

The front desk lady, Michaelle was not polite at all, was quite rude when I was checking in. Snappy about me sending over an authorization form. Everything else was fine but she could have been way nicer.

$140 off-season on a Monday to wake up to a room infested with bugs and a wonderful big tag $6 of bottle of water to greet you upon arrival of traveling all day. Laugh out loud don't forget to pack your own lunch, $15 for a two day old chicken sandwich. IF YOU LIKE BEING RIPPED OFF YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE.

This hotel is paid parking. Metro has signs in the hotel parking lot, scan, download the app. And pay $10 per day (24 hours). The Bonvoy App notes that parking is $10 per day. Upon checking In the hotels front desk clerk then proceeds to request $15 per day...which is very sketch.

The location is convenient for an overnight stay but the rooms smell musty and the bathroom definitely needs to be cleaned. I survived a night but would not recommend it for any reason.

Staff was very nice but it is infested with bedbugs.

Marriott doesn't disappoint

I TRAVELED ON JULY 22ND. IT WAS REQUIRED OF ME TO LEAVE $150 DEPOSIT, AND I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN IT BACK TO MY DEBIT CARD UPON CHECKING OUT. 2 WEEKS PASSED AND I NEVER GOT MY DEPOSIT BACK. I'VE SENT EMAILS NO ONE REPLIED.

No microwave in the room. No free continental breakfast. There is a Starbucks in place but the prices are quite high. The hotel rooms were nice & comfortable. The staff were friendly & accommodating.

The location was good and convenient, but the front staff was incompetent. My reservation was booked here due to work obligations. From the beginning to the end one of front desk representatives showed a level of incompetency that I have never seen. Not only was she deflecting all issues to the other representative, but she seemed as though she didnt know her job or how to properly validate the customers identity, after previously assisting them. If It wasn't for my occupation facilitating my stay, I would've checked out immediately and go to another establishment.
