The atmosphere was great, but the food fell short. The ribs were dry, the brisket lacked flavor, and the baked beans were bland. The sweet cornbread was also tough. Hopefully this was just an off day, but it wasn’t the experience I expected.

House made pastrami. Brisket brined for a week, smoked for a day, sliced thick on soft rye. One of the best ever! Brisket is solid and a family favorite. Awesome collard greens and beans. Atmosphere seems to improve weekly.

I used to eat in this place before they changed the management, I loved, but after that I did have a couple bad experiences with the food, I decided to try one more time today, I really regret, I ordered brisket plate, they really messed up, the food was gross, oily and the texture really bad, I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but after this I don’t recommend to eat in this place, especially if you know about barbecue 😪
We celebrated a bday gathering w the family and the service was great, very attentive to the fact that we were having a bday there too and went above and beyond to make our family feel welcomed, food was good

I had the pleasure of meeting the chef himself, and you can tell right away that this place runs on passion and pride. The smoker out back speaks for itself — everything here is made with serious care and flavor. Even before trying the food, I was impressed just hearing about the process and watching the pride behind the grill.
This is one of those local gems that deserves all the support. Whether you’re a BBQ lover or just appreciate good people doing great things, Joe’s Grill is 100% worth checking out. Can’t wait to come back and dive into a full plate next time.
