We have been visiting Ally’s for many, many years. We used to go to their other location on Oakland Park Blvd, but when that closed we started coming to this location. We always enjoyed our visits. Today was different. We ordered a special, artichoke, sun-dried tomato, feta omelet, and a Syd’s favorite omelet. The special omlete was a brown color, the sun-dried tomatoes were extremely chewy, there was plenty of feta. The biscuit was flat and rather tasteless. They were out of bagels. The Syd’s (one of our regular orders) also had a brownish hue, it didn’t look up to Ally’s regular standards. We were informed the oatmeal was as via packet and hot water. Glanced at a pancake on another table (my usual) and it certainly didn’t look as fluffy or large as in our past visits. We were surprised and disappointed. Maybe we were having a bad day!? Has ownership changed? New cook? Perhaps we’ll try again because it was one of our favorite breakfast places.

I don’t think I’ve sat down in the dining area before- I usually order delivery or pickup as I work nearby.
The food is always ready or delivered insanely quick and the staff is SO friendly every time I go in.
I usually order the bagel sandwich or the green omelette. I’m extremely picky when it comes to bagels (I lived in the northeast for a long time) and theirs are great.

A nice place to get breakfast, nothing too special, but not bad by any means. The one thing they need to change is their black plastic coffee mugs. At this point, everybody knows that plastic is toxic if it's heated. They should switch to ceramic like the rest of the world. Good grits though.

Probably the worst pancakes I’ve ever had. Tasteless, not cooked throughly and had to send them back. Even when they were recooked and piping hot, they had no taste. And I mean ZERO taste! They taste like watered down pancake batter. Service was ok but the food also took really long to arrive and kept coming out in pieces so no one really had everything they ordered at once. I will not be returning.

Ally’s Comfort Cafe has the BEST SPECIALS!!! I recommend ordering from the specials board, and the regular menu items are good too. Had country fried steak and eggs and split the guava French toast. Both were delicious!

Service is always great. The food is fresh and fabulous. The most outstanding grits I've ever had. Outstanding huge pancakes. I highly recommend this restaurant. For the amount of food the price is just right.
I would love for the restaurant to be renovated a little. Maybe a little bit more modern or the door painted. I think its a very cute place that needs a little TLC. Other than that the food is perfect.
