I used to visit China Island every Friday as a treat at the end of my week, but after my most recent experience, I will not be returning. From the moment I walked in, I wasn’t greeted, which already set a negative tone. The lady who took my order had a bad attitude right from the start. She kept talking over me as I was placing my order and was generally rude throughout the entire interaction.
It also felt like she assumed I couldn’t afford the food, as she kept stating the prices as I was ordering, even though I was clearly looking at a takeout menu that had the prices listed. It was a condescending attitude that made me feel uncomfortable.
The restaurant is always empty when I go, and after this encounter, I can understand why. With service like this, it’s no surprise that they’re not drawing in customers. I decided to take my business elsewhere that day, and sadly, I won’t be coming back. The poor customer service has completely turned me off from this place.

Like 3 weeks ago they gave us old pork fried rice ..we called right away , they said they will give us a credit smell horrible. We just called to order dinner and the lady in the front desk told us No credit !!! And treated us so wrong. I will never go back over 10 dollars and an attitude. We tried to talk to a manager, she said there is not manager here.

This time I wanted to buy for one person, but they didn't want to sell me the small size of spaghetti, and they kept offering me the large one. I left without being able to buy anything. It's incredible how they want to take advantage. Very poor service.

Worst place to order I just call them a few minutes ago I was ganna order for pick up and the lady who answer the phone said they just taking deliveries orders that’s rude they just lost a customer.
I forgot my wallet in this restaurant and they didn't want to return it. I lost all the documents and money. I don't recommend it at all.

china island: an apt name for a restaurant that seems to think it is an island unto itself, with no interest in adhering to the normal expectations of eateries. service was downright insolent. we had to ask several times for our drinks to be served and our order to be taken. and then the server, clearly exhausted and uncaring, had to come back to our table and take our orders all over again because she couldn't find the original order. all of the food - from the tea, to the soup, to the eggrolls to the entrees - was served tepid, barely room temperature, when it should have been piping hot. afterward, we had to wait just to get the bill, with gratuity added, but we were not informed in advance and had to ask. no inquiry of dessert, not that we would have stayed any longer. there are perfectly decent chinese restaurants all over south florida. do yourself a favor and avoid this one.

The quality and service of this location has precipitously dropped. I ordered take out and in addition to them not giving me spoon or fork (or even napkins) until I brought it up, the wanton soup I ordered did not have any wantons in it and China Island wouldn't refund my money. I realized their error when I got back to my destination--three miles away--and China Island said I could either drive back to get another one or have a 50 cent credit on my "China Island" account. I did not want perform a six-mile round trip journey just for a wanton soup, so I wanted that portion refunded to my card and they refused to refund it. I said I was going to call my credit card company and they said go right ahead. The place is a grift, scam, and generally inconsiderate (no spoon, fork, or napkins) where I give them money in exchange for a fake wanton soup mysterious liquid in return.

DON’T order from here. They scam you and when you ask them about their prices they just start making up lies. They have a fish tank with large fish and 0 space for them to swim - zero common sense for anything. The food is also mediocre at best.
